It is definitely unrealistic, but fixing it would require a completely different approach to supply. I basically take it as one of the effects of WaW being a WW2 themed game aiming for 50:50 odds between factions, not a simulation prioritizing 100% accuracy. Otherwise how could you explain all countries having 100% identical units, researchable tech levels etc?

Oh and on the attack in the adriatic: It actually did take me several ingame month to prepare that and I had it planed from turn 1. Balancing GB's initial meagre financial means to be able to upgrade my ships in time, while not leaving me open to german subs in the turns before and getting everyone to the place where he needed to be while "keeping my bases covered" was far from trivial and I also didn't get it 100% right. Not sure if it's any consolation, but just rushing in blindly, no matter if it's the Adriatic or Baltic, can go horribly wrong.

You are absolutely right, you just got the right balance using limited resources with great consideration. I learnt a lot from our short game, actually a shame I gave up so early, could have learnt a lot more to improve my game ;)

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs SCOLDGAMER (Axis) --- Axis were doing quite well in Russia in 1942. until they made a fateful move. Patton was recruited early & had plans for Sicily invasion. Germans decided to take Vichy France turn before. This allowed Patton to switch plans, land in Southern France / Northwest Italy. Took 2 free ports in France then grabbed solid hold in Italy. opponent shouldn't have done VF.

Game ends in September 1944 with Axis resignation.

Fall of France delayed until October 1940. Frozen conflict in Africa although the Italian Fleet was downed in the Med. Kreigsmarine took control of the Bay of Biscay convoy route with V2 Wunderwaffen levelling southern England. Some confusion over Yugoslavia didn't optimise Barbarossa which was held on the Dnpr.
Japan attacked Russia, India and South Africa but not Pearl Harbor.
Germany refocused and took Cairo in 1943 but got stopped in Iraq later in 1944.
Allies clawed back Africa and Island Hopped into Nagasaki in 1943.
Couldn't hold on in Japan but the damage was done allowing China to boot Japan out Central China.
Combination of Bagration and Overlord in 1944 led to Axis losses and surrender.

Thanks for the game
Archmache

Why don't you add an ELO Match as an option for hosting an online challenge (making it clear to the players that this is considered a ranked match), and let the GAME track the matches, and victories. ALL of this could be automated and reported monthly, quarterly and/or annually via e-mail or an online report card.

This could be MUCH easier.

After all, it is 2022.

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Allies) vs Arikogut(Axis) --- Juntas took Hawaii, thrashed USN, added some impressive sub tech. With extra expenses at sea, gave the Chinese some openings on the ground. Germans did 3 pronged attack in Russia, approached gates of Moscow, drove deep into Stalingrad, Leningrad, and nearly Persia. Yanks pressed Italy/France, were halted by improve Panzers, and upgraded Luftwaffe. Western Allies stalled on Hitler's West Wall. Recognizing reduced Russian front elite units, the Reds charged with AA guns, partisans & corps. Could hardly call it an Army. Stragglers of the Red Army were able to grab back land and swarm aimlessly into Romania.

SCOLDGAMER axis defeats ThunderLizard11 allies in as close a game as possible. Game was decided as an axis Tactical victory due to Japan surviving until May 30 '47 and holding Chungking. Allies only needed two more turns for Chungking. Germany almost survived but fell in May '47. Great fun game but I think axis was playing defense from '43 on.

game completed

[WIN] ElvisJJonesRambo (Axis) vs ThunderLizard (Allies) --- Playing for Keeps, Too much Legend. This had to be my record game. Everything that happened went well. Germans blitzed France, was able to kill off Brits who slayed too long. This opened up Sealion. Paratroops and 1-landing craft hit Southern Shores and rolled with good weather past London. Nazi/Italian forces in Egypt heard the good news and went to the Holy Lands, Suez & eventually Iraq. The Turks were kind & smart enough to join. somehow Yugo also. Barby was slowed at Dnieper with key units battling Irish Americans. Yanks failed near Scotland. Luftwaffe and Kriesgsmarines blast RN, RAF.

Japs also had excellent game, squashing greater half of China, entered both Russia/India, trashed Pearl Harbor and other parts of Pacific.

Elo game Ended

Archmache (Axis) beats JudgementDay (Allies)

Probably my best game. Axis took France by March. Barbarossa started Jan 1, 1941. Tanks steamrolled into caucasus and filled up with oil. Opponent tried defense in depth but retreats lost him entrenchment (what normally stops the tanks). Slow moving Axis armies advanced on Moscow.

Allies took NA, Ethiopia, but were stopped from an amphibious assault into Italy by strong Axis Luftwaffe. RA did a good job of cleaning up the Kreigsmarine, taking minimal losses.

Japan pounced hard on US Pearl and Dutch East Indies to secure the ever needed Oil.

Good turn return timers by Judgement day.
