I had a hand pencil note on my old manual near sec. 6.2.3 Task Force speed. I report here if you think that it could be useful to add.

In the Task Force screen the movement of the TF is indicated in hex. (m/c) means maximum and cruise speed distance per movement resolution phase. On the same line Fuel cruising range is indicated as (x/y) max distance TF can travel / distance in hex from home port. There is another (z) number that can appear after x/y . Its meaning is distance in hex from TF destination. If the mission type is Patrol (z) mean distance in hex to the end of the current patrol loop.

Thanks for your hard work
The game always figures in the distance back to home port if a target is set.

For a patrol zone the target is the last set point.

Brilliant as always!

The ‘Adams Bridge’ stretching between India and Ceylon now includes an island (medium sized) in hex 31,44 (Pamban Island) and the railway that connected it to the Indian mainland.

when looking at the island the base is not included in scenario 2 or scenario 1 not sure about other scenarios.

All bases in China now have supply caps. Most of bases in Malaya also have them (scenario 1)

I'm not sure the manual has an explanation for "supply max" or information about how to turn on/off stockpiling (by clicking on no/yes). See page 189.

Modified manual

Other possible additions ( I collected much time ago from people who asked for clarification in the forum)
(.......Another exercise for Trugrit? :D )

After 6.1.2.1.3 THREAT TOLERANCE
If the task force routing or threat tolerance are modified the description of the setting is reported in the task force screen under Set task force routing label.
If both task force routing and threat tolerance are modified only the routing description is displayed. Threat tolerance status is displayed after as a symbol (x) where x is - for low + for high !! for absolute.

(These need to be verified)

6.3.2.3.1 SHIP TYPE CARRYING ABILITY TABLE
Note that if -t is specified near the SHIP TYPE means that ship has been modified to carry troops. -t is used also for subs that can transport troops.

UNIT INFORMATION SCREEN (under show unit toe)
** In front and back to a device mean static device

Am I to understand correctly that these are the only changes to the game other than a new map? This is a joke, right?

V1.01.27– 05 March 2022 (Game version shown as 1.8.11.27)
1. Ninth Update – This release is a comprehensive release updating all previous
versions to v1.01.27
2. Code Changes
1. Naval support not present at 0(0) port once port is built up
2. Another underway ammo replenishment issue if AE unable to reload the biggest weapon on
ship
3. Drawing ship a/c from pool at base uses replacement group if nearby
4. Tweak what is an 'instructor' for TRACOM purposes and allow casualties to them
5. Tweak group training mission not getting many op losses for low experience pilots
(increased fatigue of low experienced pilots and aircraft)
6. Aircraft upgrading to blank airframe
7. Mines not removed from ships in non-ML taskforce
8. Repair/maint of seaplane not expending supply (1 point per plane from tender supply if more
than seaplane support at base). Exceeding support did expend normal supply.
9. Added confirmation to ‘Disband TF’ button

I dunno. There seem to be a great deal of items that aren't mentioned in the change log. Reinforcements coming in at new locations, novice pilots now being possibly becoming causalities in training, new on-map map towns and the industries associated with them, road, rail and terrain edits, etc, etc.

Unfortunately, the designers of many of the popular map mods aren't active anymore. Might have to do a mod of a mod without the permission of the original modder.

Another change is the starting damage for many ships. While putting a destroyer in the shipyard in Singapore will fix the engines faster, having the equipment damage of 99 means that there are no pumps to eliminate excess water. Don't try to move that ship without working pumps . . .

I wonder what the rational is for so many ships having extensive damage to start the game?

So when that destroyer moves out of Singapore, it will flood and sink . . .

When selecting a scenario, they first show up as modified. When selecting them again, they show up as normal.
Scenario (not)edited.jpg
Scenario (not)edited.jpg (444.22 KiB) Viewed 1930 times
(both screenshots have been made within a couple of seconds, this happens after launching the game, goes away while the game is running and reappears after a restart. I have never messed with scen 1.)

I also have to say that the included Launcher seems not to be really helpful, at least not for launching the game itself, since it seemingly does not include command line switches or at least I am too stupid to find a way of adding them. I belief it could be used to create an easy way for new players to set these switches.

I also want to point out that the included german translation seems suboptimal at some points. As an example, I suspect that "On" is meant like beeing switched on/enabled which wold trandslate to "An" to use a short word. The used word "Auf" is more used for "on [something]" (like "the bird sits on the roof" = "der Vogel sitzt auf dem Dach" or "in german" ="auf deutsch").
Their are further examples like "Speichert" meanig "saving" while "Spielstände" or "Speicherstände" would better describe already existing savefiles. I am also not sure if "Klingen" and "Thema" are best fitting.

I like the new update and only have noticed 2 things. First sound now stutters and none of the switch settings work. the conformation to disband a task force is keyboard only and can't be clicked. I'm running a 6 core cpu and cpu4 won't use all my cores. and setting it higher than 4 makes it run oddly.

I found that if you make a shortcut to the launcher and put it on your desktop or elsewhere, then you finally get a target field into which to place the command line switches.

Well, this patch is heavily focused on map and scenario updates. Which is a pity, since I expected more exe changes. There are several game issues not tackled at all in the patch. Most of them are reported in this thread

I have a question re scen001 in the updated patch. Is this the scen001v12 from your thread here or is it some new version (v13)?

I will take a look at that. Foochow should be Nationalist Chinese controlled in all 1941 start scenarios.
The 86th Corps lacks objective in its preparation. Its preparation value is 60, but no name is given for the objective (scen001)

I would like to congratulate all Japanese players on winning the war!

The patch trimmed Eastern USA free supply from 65,000 supplies daily to a MEAGRE 1000 supplies daily (scen001).

The entire Japanese officer corps is getting drunk on champagne in Ginza as we speak.
