ok, we need a place for people to report issues - so let's make this place be that place !

I will read all the issue reports, load into a spreadsheet, then we will dedupe, test/verify the issues and resolve those we can replicate. We expect there to be at least one more beta release before this update is officially RELEASED.

A few points about issue reports.

It REALLY helps a lot if we have
Before save
After save
Narrative about which (included) scenario you are playing what you were doing when the issue happened.
Ideally a step by step process to load the save and then replicate the problem.

It will be highly problematic to debug mods and other sorts of data changes or map changes at this point. If you want to use mods, go ahead, but we would appreciate an attempt to reproduce any discovered issue with the provided art and scenarios. During the beta process we likely won't have time to explore all possible issues in all possible mods.

Also, please limit your issue reports to actual issues. We won't be doing any new features or enhancements during this beta/testing phase.

Thanks for your participation and support as we move into the next phase of this release cycle - and very sorry it took so long - in part - its because I had to move again and that was a very complex move (downsizing a cattle ranch in KS to a much smaller place in SW MO).

Enjoy !!

Looks to be a simple data problem on Scenario Menu screen. Not all descriptions line up with correct Scenario.
For instance, War in The Pacific Ironman has Guadalcanal description. A few more seem to be out of synch as well.
Scenario seems to run as intended, with just being a minor data problem.

I did a clean install with base game and then applied patch.

Many thanks for update!

Wrong spelling of Hatsushimo in all scenarios I checked.
This was already wrong in the latest version before.

Ship #212 is Hatsushimo of Hatsuharu class.
At the moment it is spelled Hatsushima.

I briefly looked through the new manual and I think I found something:

1. Section 7.2.1.2.1 and 7.2.1.3.1 (Misson type by aircraft for day/night)
Some missions listed here are not available in game (like City attack at night by Patrol), others are available but not listed (like naval search at night and naval attack at daytime by Patrol). Their might be more examples.

2. Section 16.6 Arrivals
This Section seems unchanged from the original manual, the following thread indicates some changes, like different bases. I have not tested this in game.
https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/view ... 9#p3817119

3. Section 6.4.2.1 Note on torpedo duds
I am not 100% certain, but I would be surprised if the dud rate of the japanese Kaiten is also reduced to 10 in September 1943, since it arrives in late 1944/early 1945. In the Editor it has a dud rate of 50 (Scen 1)

Scenario 3, 4 Canada #1083 is missing the battle 8 factories.
scenario 1,2,3,4 Melbourne @942 has a factory of 5 for 50-gallon drop tank.
scenario 1,2,3,4 Eastern USA #615 is missing the off-map supply from the previous version 65k supplies and 40k fuel.

Any chance of making the pwsdll7.dll a 64-bit version? Or will that mess things up? It would allow the use of 64-bit java with tracker.

The new map is interesting, but I have a question, what is the purpose of the Jamaica off map hex? It does not seem to be useful.

Also, it appears to be impossible to move a ship from the UK to Aden via Gibraltar, Alexandria, and Suez.

Many of the new off-map hexes, including Jamaica, have repair shipyards. Maybe that's one of the reasons they were added.

Will previous art and data updates to stock scenarios be affected by this?

Well it's listed as comprehensive so it should replace it.

Yes,

It will impact the map. The game map consists of three parts.
A player needs all three parts to get a functioning game.

1. The map art tiles
2. The correct data files that work with the map.
3. A scenario that works with both.

The base and unit locations are defined in the scenario file.

An older scenario or mod will have a mis-match like shown below.

Fortunately it looks like the new beta has not moved very much of this
around so it should be pretty easy for a scenario designer or just an ordinary
player to use the editor to fix this.

The AI data is another matter; that requires a lot more effort to modify.

Jamaica is an entry point for the British. A CV starts there in the tier 3 nasty scenario.

Gibraltar to Alexandria is not open until 5/43 sometime....GP

There's a off map document in the game folder....GP

This update includes all previous versions. So install it on top of 1126b. But, as previously mentioned, install the new update in a fresh install of AE if you are going to use the new map and scenarios....GP

Indicate which sections of the Manual have you changed or supplemented please? I need this to translate manual into my native language so that I know where to edit. Otherwise, I'll have to translate entire manual again!
Thanks!
