The ARVN 1st Div is finally able to move again and they pull back to the south setting
up in blocking positions between Dong Ha and Quang Tri. A variety of Marine recon and
engineers surrounds the VC rocket unit SW of Hue:

A bunch of Marine arty landed at Da Nang and other than that there's not much manpower
available to confront the NVA and VC units attacking Allied units in the Da Nang area right
now. Maybe the Marine ground combat units will arrive next turn:

The Allies have surrounded the VC unit near Bien Hoa but don't have much combat power
there to attack the VC unit:

The ARVN rangers vertically assaulted the VC units near Cao Lanh and have used retreat
before combat results to chase the survivor up against a river bank and are assaulting it:

Those attacks took 40% of the turn. More attacks and results:

All those puny units are going to simultaneously assault the VC unit near Bien Hoa:

Thanks for the AAR! I'm really enjoying this scenario against the PO right now.

A couple of questions:

1) I like the clean look of your battle reports. Somehow they seem better than mine. Are you using an interface mod of some kind?

2) I notice that you have most of your units (that I can see) on minimal Loss Tolerance. Is this something you do just for ARVN or for all units (including air)?

So um......the original background in most of the reports had some kind of faded background picture that was supposed to lend some atmosphere to the game or something. It just cluttered up things in my opinion. So I found the *.bmp file that the game was using and changed it to solid black instead. Now there's no clutter in the background.

I'm hoping to keep my ground forces fresh and ready for another combat immediately and rely on the air units to do most of the killing for me. And most of the combats are against units that I have to surround to ensure it's demise so they aren't going to escape and I don't mind having to attack more than once so I'm having EVERY Allied unit set on minimum losses. It might be an interesting experiment to play this scenario on limit losses or even ignore losses and see what difference it makes. Thanks for your kind words by the way.

There's a VC cadre on the trail and I'd better attack it this turn 'cause it's probably
going to be invisible and unattackable next turn:

I assigned some Navy boats to bombard the airfield in North Vietnam to destroy as many
Migs as possible. Also, I told SAC to bombard that pesky NVA arty just north of the DMZ:
