I'm wondering myself what's the deal with the "mobile" variant in the Soviet Union 1941 scenario.

I've got an AAR on it (using TOAW III) here:

Oh, didn't remember that in TOAW III. How did I miss it? thanks

That would make an excellent AAR. I'm just saying.
Please.

Wow, what a list!
I'm especially happy to see that there are pre-ww1 scenarios. Really look forward to get my hands on this - hopefully the tutorials are good as I have never played TOAW
Don't dispare, this version IV of TOAW is a lot easier than the earlier
incarnations. The buttons you have to click on are grouped according to
function with theme tabs so they are easier to find and the learning curve
to mastering the game engine mechanics has been simplified. I have found
configurations of windows that facilitates gameplay so much that the turns are
going faster. I think it's actually easier to play the game now. I know
it's a lot more fun. The game mechanics fade into the back of yur mind and
you can concentrate on outflanking your enemy. Battlefield awareness is
enhanced through the use of game info windows. Most of the windows are
moveable so you can dress up your AAR's, hint, hint.

And yeah, there's a lot of new scenarios and one by Thomas Harvey called
Pacific At War 1941-1945 that has rapidly become my favorite. It
reminds me of WITP-AE with one third of the required clicking. This
November 16, 2017 is the day you guys have been waiting for.
Good to hear about Pacific War 41-45 as that is one of the main reasons for a first day purchase (have TOAWIII).
The new Operation Overlord scenario, which scale is it - division?

2.5 km per hex and full day turns. Is that what you're looking for? Sounds like a blast.

And about Pacific War 41-45 I love it. It's my favorite. The map is huge because, well, you know
the theater and there's relatively few units to move. I was surprised when I did the first playtest.
The turns go fast. It's a relatively quick play.

I noticed a lot of scenarios with a naval focus. I'm very curious to see how
those play. That wasn't really possible in Art of War III [:)]

Fortunately, the game has always attracted many very talented scenario designers, and the "hidden" value of that needs to be considered when purchasing the game. Though quite the noob, I remember playing someone's Stalingrad scenario vs the AI for weeks on end. So good point, Larry.

Steve Sill has been especially outstanding in the amount of work he puts out and the
endless tweaking he's been doing to his scenarios. And Thomas Harvey has been producing an
enormous amount of work on his scenarios. I better quit naming them, I'll leave somebody
out, but the point is that a lot of these new scenarios are written by some of the best
designers there are. I've playested about a dozen of Steve's scenarios and they never
let me down. And Thomas Harvey's Pacific At War.....is a real winner. I love it.
It's my favorite right ahead of D21. I took a look at FITE2 and decided that it
required a substantial lifetime committment to play that bad boy.

Is FITE 2 playable against the AI?

I'm not all that familiar with FITE2 and I've only had
the map open and moved a unit around a little and don't know
all that much about it and I can't remember if it's got a PO
or not for either side but you know, if I was to hazzard a
guess, I'd guess that there's no PO for either side yet.
I'd love to see a PO for it for the Soviet side though.

Berlin 1945 draws my attention. I hope it's a monster with lots of obscure late-war German units

Such an incomplete list.

Where is the Spanish Civil War? Or the Italo-Turkish War? Or the Chaco War? Or the Emu War of 1932?

Quite frankly I am very disappointed that the brawl that broke out at my grandparent's wedding in 1928 isn't included.

And you have the nerve to boast about the scenario list. So disappointing... [:-]

Get up off your rear and make them. The TOE for your grandparent's wedding should be interesting. What's the penetration of a 12" cast iron skillet. [:D]

It obviously depends on a number of factors ...

* Whether it is a German, Italian, Japanese, British, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, French, Dutch or Belgian Skillet

* Who was wielding it? Grandma? Grandpa? Some random relative?

And that's just for starters ...

The equipment list can hold some insane number of potential equipment types. Bob's expanded both the time scale and the hex scale, and you can customize all the graphics, so it might be more possible than you think [;)]. Yeah, I know how picky grognards are.

I saw my scenario "Guerra no Pampa 2011" as part of TOAW IV list, what is an honor to me, but at same time I must say it is not the last and improved version available. Is there still time to update it? Current version for TOAW 3.4 is the v2.6. Attached you have the last version, if you can update the game with this one, Gamers will thank you.

It's too late to update the scenario for the release BUT Tamas said there's
going to be a section of the forum dedicated to scenarios and you can
post your update there after the release. And thanks for your efforts.
We gamers thank you.
