OCTOBER 11, 1940

More whining from me as the German Transport manages to unload in Narvik unscathed after "ambushing" the RN.

Meanwhile the partisan in Bordeaux surrenders.

Forces and Casualties. Note how few casualties the Germans have taken so far. the only thing I can take comfort in is that the BOA is generally going my way.

Technology. The British and Americans are doing fine. But I am worried about the Soviets.

Production.

OCTOBER 25, 1940

Once again MM catches me napping with his invasion of Greece. Really no excuse for this as even a quick survey of the map would have shown me what he was up to. Though I am not really sure that I would have done anything differently anyway.

I at least exact some retribution on the Italian Fleet. I also manage to sneak a unit into Crete. Of course, if the Axis want Crete they can take it.

Meanwhile the RN spends another fruitless couple weeks searching for the German Navy.

NOVEMBER 8, 1940

Rain in Greece save Athens temporarily.

NOVEMBER 22, 1940

The Axis do invade Crete while at the same time capturing Athens to conquer Greece. At least it cost the Axis 100 PP in LC's to capture Crete, which is less than the 60 or so PPs that I will lose for the loss of my division. After lots of thought I decide to take on the Italian off the coast of Crete. I sink 2 Italian BBs, but I fully expect to lose my entire fleet to air attacks next turn.

DECEMBER 6, 1940

I got lucky (I think) and only lost 2 ships (a BB and a DD) off the coast of Crete to numerous air and sub attacks. The badly damaged BB and CA that remained high tailed it back to Alexandria. Meanwhile 5 MS and an escort are lost in exchange for only 1 U-Boat hit.

DECEMBER 20, 1940

7 MS sunk in exchange for 3 U-Boat Hits.

JANUARY 3, 1941

The Crete division surrenders. A good turn in the BoA where 0 MS are sunk and 2 hits are scored on the U-Boats.

The Kreigsmarine sorties; but of course my Pursuits turn up nothing.

JANUARY 17, 1941

A bad turn in the BoA as 7 MS are sunk (5 by surface Raiders). Of course the RN Pursuits again are useless.

JANUARY 31, 1941

The German Raiders return to Germany. The U-Boats sink 6 MS and take 2 hits.

FEBRUARY 14, 1941

2 More failed pursuit attempts. How many is that now, I have lost count.

The Brits invade Iraq

FEBRUARY 28, 1941

A very very bad turn in the BoA. 14 MS are sunk and only 1 U-Boat hit. MM has at least 7 operational U-Boats. Thank god I sunk one of them. Oh yeah, and 3 more failed search attempts. Am I the only one who thinks that finding enemy fleets is just too hard?

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. What free time I have had has been spent playing rather than posting. Hopefully MM has kept you up to date with his AAR.

4 MS and an escort sunk in exchange for just 1 U-boat hit. Otherwise no action.

4 MS sunk and no U-Boat hits. But, two successful Searches in the same turn. Definitely a record for me. Meanwhile the British invade Persia.
