Japanese advance to Chungking! Will it hold? I do have the river to aid in the city's defence. That should help. We'll see.

Being stubborn about the issue. The United States lands a corp on San Cristobal. It takes six hits landing due to a very lethal bee hive of Japanese aviation in the Solomons. The price of admission. A giant four engine bomber campaign against his airbases will need to augment the night conquest of the Solomons. .

December 20th, 1942.
The Allies continue their drive up the Solomon Islands.
A note on tactics... I know STJEAND is really great at handling his arcraft. Moving around the Coral Sea in daylight is suicide against him. Because of this I started upgrading my battleships and cruisers with the TACTICIAN specialty from turn one for the intense night fighting I was planning.
Upgrading my carriers with the SCREENING specialty can wait until late 1943 and 1944 and the open ocean.
