Norway falls after the second turn. Northern Wind is progressing on track of time! Light naval action west of Denmark. German cruisers destroy a destroyer, and UK Maritime bombers retaliate, but take heavy losses from German fighters.

UK receives 144 MPP from the captured country and 15 MPP convoy a turn from Norway!
German NM is down to 108%, raiding the Norway line with British battleships has cost the Germans 50 x 3 NM a turn I believe. Need to check the strategy guide, but BB should inflict 50 NM loss a turn.

USN accidentally moved some ships outside of the naval zone, resulting in a 5% reduction in mobilization. US mobilization at 65%. Oops!

Sweden mobilizes due to Allied advances, but is not fully activated.

Once US enters UK will DOW Sweden. Will take 4 turns to capture as it is very difficult to get all the way to the Swedish capital. Heavy Bombers are flown into Norway to destroy supply. UK orders garrisons to defend the partisans to ensure the MPP gain is positive.

UK ignores Australia, as last game tons of MPP was invested and then all the units disappeared. Until this gets fixed, won't bother investing a single MPP into an Australian unit or ship.

The entire Allied forces have maxed convoys to send to the USSR. 900 MPP and 40+ troops is stabalization for USSR, I have found. When playing Axis, if I can keep Russia BELOW 40 units, they end up falling. Right now I have 38 ...

USSR has lots of gaps, BUT German have completely vacated the North since any incursion to take Leningrad will be met with ground attack bombers hitting Axis troops in the swamps - way to costly for the OKH.

This has been quite the interesting game. Allies on the edge of the seat waiting to see where Japan strikes.

USA has delivered two Armies to Hawaii to deter an invasion. If timed correctly, AA guns will arrive just before Pearl Harbor.

Russia deploys hasty reinforcements
Moscow lightly defended. Last game, Russia broke when the South fell. I would rather lose Moscow than the oil. With the air force from Finland, Axis no doubt must push South.

Russian entrenchments have yielded great results. Germans are taking significant casualties running into entrenchments. Here are there losses.

General Mud arrives. Crappy weather grounds the Luftwaffe. Russians take a breather.

Second batch of Russian Reinforcements arrive in the nick of time! Rain deters Axis advances by the push up a little closer to the Russian entrenchments. Static defences have slowed the Axis advance to a standstill. No counter attacking is preserving health and entrenchments, while USSR builds up MPP base.
This turn Soviets order a new HQ, invest in advanced tanks, industrial technology, and command and control. That's the last batch of research needed. No units were purchases so there will be a gap in the stream of reinforcements, but Soviet Winter should strike, providing a much needed turn to let new deployed units catch up on morale!

India still needs more time to prepare against the great Japanense threat. To deter the invasion, US has decided to drop their own readiness. A gambit, but one I think worth to allow India to collect more MPP and gain a stronger defensive postion.

USA moves AA guns to Hawaii. They are strategically placed to cover each hex port so that they have to be destroyed to gain access to the ports. Armies are upgraded with AA and have 3 turns of entechment. Honolulu and the junlge have carrier defence +1, so I double Japanese carriers will be able to take the Pacific Base.
US mobilization decreases due to Hawaii troops, but increases due to Japan, netting +1% and ending at 83%. Unironically, the later US joins the better for allies. Japan is just too strong. I think house rules say Japan cannot attack Russia until DOW on the US, so Russia gets the +80 from Vladivostok.

Kriegsmarine sends out some scouter subs to potentially sink UK and UK Transport.
RN defends and sinks a sub, I believe the first of the game. Kriegsmarine has been very passive.

Axis have trouble taking Smolensk. Vetern Soviet army forces a tank to retreat. Partisan spawn cuts the rail, but the rail line in the north is still there.
Deployed soviet troops are starting to make multiple defensive lines - its all about entrenchment. Creating multiple waves of level 3 entrechment (in forest) is a nightmare for the Germans. Even if they punch through, it takes turns to get there, thereby allowing the production of Soviet tanks, and hopefully, and Allied landing on the Continent.

Southern defences still hold. Snow has hampered the Germans.
My defences are planned to maximize land and resource bonuses. By defending on Kiev - Odessa, I reduce the amount of Soviet troops to 7, then when Kiev falls I can retreated to Kharkov - Dnepr Line. Falling this I fall back to the Dnpr-Rosotov Line. This creates "Death Pockets" where is Germans advance with one or two units they will get attacked. Elvis is doing a slow push. Since Germans convoys have gone to zero, and Russia has held ALL THREE of the mines in the south, German income is capped at 500 MPP and cannot afford to replace casualties as the Soviet winter has yet to hit!

In central Russia, tanks retreat to deal with Partisans. Will take them 2-3 turns to get back to the front lines. Very odd move by elvis. Maybe he will move them south for the push on Caucasus, upgrade to level three, or invade Belgium and Netherlands, which are still neutral. I don't think he needed to retreat the tanks. Gives central Russia the breather he needed. Elvis should send some planes to spott!

Japanese AVL are spotted near India. Great move in hindsight to delay US entrance by moving troops to Hawaii as India reached IW2 the following turn! India is quite strong now, collecting about 180 MPP a turn. Of course the oil in the NE will fall to advancing Japanese troops, but I don't think India will fall to a ground invasion as it is HEAVILY defended.

Tunis is taken by UK troops, and the UK begins scouting Northern France, but hits heavy Italian AA. Won't be easy to Invade France. May have to take out Italy.
