Five years ago when Sonny Lubeck came in the situation was Colorado State who..?? Its amazing what hes done to that program. I will say it broke my heart to see AF go down to CSU a couple weeks ago (well not as much as it did Navy) then I played them on NCAA'04 and man it wasnt nearly as bad as the real thing but I could not get ahead to save my life. The next tough game was against the Lobos they seem really tough in that game. Hopefully my recruiting goes well and I can get some real line men.

I had high hopes for Hearts of Iron but its just too **** easy to beat.
I would kill for a good operational level WWII game with production and even a halfway decent AI. Some people have some scenarios on Operational art of War but at the high end of unit density the system gets "clunky" to me.

For those of you that put Allied General, how did that one compare with Pacific General? I always wanted AG but I was a day late and a dollar short so I had to go with PG instead. It really seemed like PG would be funner against another person.
My personal view is that that Allied General was better than Pacific General, but not as good as the original Panzer General. It did have more variety in that there were separate campaigns for the Americans, the British and the Russians. It's worth a look if you can find it cheap.

Mostly UV, PacificWar, Civ III, Commandos and Close Combat series.
From time to time CFS II, 12 O'Clock High, Silent Hunter II..
Lots of older once-favorite games kept in storage (M1, GNB series...).
Played once or twice and tossed aside: Cossacks, Empire Earth, Destroyer Command, Panzer Elite.
Looking forward to Commandos 3, RRT-3D, H&D 2, MOH Pacific Assault and of course WitP - but can only afford one or two of them...

UV is keeping the WiTP cravings down somewhat...
Madden on Gamecube when I need a quick fix.
Front Office Football:The College Years - waiting for FOF 2004 though so I can dive in again...
I download and play SPWAW about every other month - play it nonstop for 2 weeks, burn out, delete it, repeat...
Waiting anxiously for:
WiTP
Supreme Leader 2010 looks pretty cool too.
I'm toying with the idea of getting EYSA, but I have very limited funds...
I need a new computer, otherwise I'd have a shooter or two on my HD as well. (I used to rock the old Springfield Quake board on Gamespy).

I am pretty much only playing ...
SPMBT
SPWAW
and have on the computer.....
Legion
Medeviel Total War
But I spend most of my time on Everquest ( in the evenings)
Havent been able to find a game I like single player, have Korsun Pocket but dont really like the Game controls. I dont like to much real time stuff, I am horrible at fast clicking..... but Total War works cause the strategic part is turn based.

In regard to RTS vs Turn Based, I prefer turn based games. Hard to take the old board gamer out of me. In fact I look at computer war games as computer board games. So FPS games don't appeal to me, nor do flight or tank sims. I prefer tactical, operational and strategic turn based games the most. Although, I do like the HttR style of giving HQ's orders and then letting them carry them out in a RTS style.

I am sure I already posted to this hehe
Ok my current play mix would be Steel Panthers WaW but call that with a Mega Campaign only for the most part. SP just seems bland otherwise.
If my machine was able to play SPMBT and SPWW2 as well as SP3 a lot nicer, then I think I would be playing a lot of other games a lot less too.
But I play the Panzer General series when I want lightweight warfare.
I play Strategic Command when I want grand strategy, and it appears to be my PBEM/ or TCP/IP game of choice.
I also like TOAW, but I have not played it much as of recent.
I like tank sims enough to fiddle with em, and likely will play Panzer Commander on occasion.
I have a bunch of other games, but I guess the ones above would be called "the inner circle".
Mind you, that list is only relevant if we leave it in computer land.
If I had a local that would give me one day a week worth of board gaming, you would not even know me online. I would be too busy playing ASL probably.

Figured this would be as good as any thread to test my first post since the Matrix forum was hit by terrorists.
My choice games:
All Battleground Civil War and Napoleonic games
All HPS Campaign Civil War games
SPWAW
Russo German War
Vassal (not exactly a computer "game" but I spend most of my time with it)
Obviously I'm an old board gamer who likes to play "board" wargames on the computer.

East Front II (would be West Front also, but the disk no longer works [:(])
My next game will probably be Medieval: Total War (we'll see if it has any staying power [:D])

Currently I have on my computer:
Front Office Football 2k4
Front Office Football: TCY
Space Empires 4
FOF 2k4 is the leading contender now - I just can't bring myself to play UV anymore because it's just a tease for WiTP. I think I might re-install M1 Tank Platoon 2 just to go shoot some stuff.
