So sorry to hear that. I'm sure I speak for all the Allies when I say that it is great playing with you. As a russian I admit I was hoping to play a bit longer but I understand if you think things look a bit bleak, and believe me I know that an important attack going badly like that can make me want to quit games. On the other hand you had me shaking and realizing I overcommitted in our fisrt impulse and that thing could turn sour quickly for me in southern Poland and Bessarabia.
Can I ask you to give the resignation a little bit of thought, and if you feel the same tomorrow we'll of course accept the resignation and hope for another game. Either way, thanks for a good and interesting game. I myself am a beginner compared to orm and peskpesk and I love how creative you are with your playing. Personally I hope stick with moving around some fench and russian land units and hope for the best but the russion in particular was quite lucky in this game, too lucky perhaps.

Gonna resign this. You guys outplayed me once again. Congratulations.
Thank you for a well fought, and interesting, game.
CW took quite a beating in this one. First time I lost Aden, if my memory serves. A few times I thought the convoys to UK would stop coming, but that disaster was narrowly avoided.
I also feared that the Indian Ocean would turn into an Axis controlled zone. However, it turned out that the Japanese had to many other concerns to be able to focus on the India Ocean, so that was a relief to me.
Also, with Gibraltar secure throughout the game I was never worried for an attack on UK itself. That in turn allowed CW to focus on the remote areas of the CW empire, and try to slow down the Axis advances there. Making it cost them time if U didn't make it cost units.
All in all a fun game for me. Learned a lot. Thank you.

I enjoyed the game a great deal. However, the strategic situation for the Axis was dismal. Japan's economy was wrecked and the Germans lost too much in their short campaign on the Eastern front. Had I gotten lucky in those two attacks and taken minimal casulaties while inflicting some, I would fought on into 1943.
In the end, while I was happy with parts of my play, the execution wasn't quite good enough in France and Portugal. The British, while getting pounded and losing Egypt, did not lose their heads and defended Portugal skillfully. The surprise attack and fortification of Porto was a big blow to the Axis ambitions in Portugal. The goal was taking Lisbon and using it as a base of operations to try and isolate Gibraltar. In hindsight though, the mistakes in France slowed the time table too much and the USA got in the war before the conquest of Portugal was complete.
I am certainly up for another game if you guys are. I'm looking forward to playing the Allies and giving a better account of myself. Let me know and I'll start another game with the same rules.

I am eagerly looking forward to another game with the same options, and the same house rules. Although I would like to add the following (or something to this effect).
+ Ships (of any type) may not sail from Brest to the North Sea (or the reverse) unless their side controls London.
Will you open up a new thread, and a new game?

Yes, will do. I'm fine with the additional house rule about Brest.
