This is the best I could do to move the Soviet units. I broke one small pocket but the largest and most important one still stands.D'oh.

If he ever gets that pocket cut off, all those hexes that don't have a unit in them (or next to a unit) will convert to German control
This is one design decision I've never understood. You can convert vast areas even if you've never had a unit within hundreds of kilometers. It seems gaining control of hexes far too easy for either side. [:D]

Ouch! That looks grim indeed! I´m pretty sure you are going to loose Leningrad. Get the KV factory out in time! If you loose it its going to affect you for quite some time. You also need to evacuate the factories in the south. Kharkov has a huge T-34 factory that you need to move.
He must be really short on fuel and supplies in his spearheads atm. So possible he will have to rest and wait for the railheads to close! Very agressive start [X(]

Axis player is also badly exposed. Larry, have you got any capacity to get aggressive and cut the supply to his Pz spearheads? It will buy you time, even if you have to sacrife a few units to do it. As Axis player, I always worry a lot about sneak attacks from the flanks: he doesn't seem to care, so maybe give him what he needs? I think the technique is to rail a cavalry unit close to the front, then use it to create the cut off. Doesn't matter if he blows it away, you've stolen a turn from him.
Can I ask if you have your airforce in full interdiction mode and high fighter intercept? If so, then he's going to be running out of Ju-52s soon.

Yeah, I thought of that and I'm looking for a way to do that. He's being careful to avoid that however and it's going to be hard to pull that off.

Here's the Air Doctrine screen. These are the settings I've been using so far in the game.

Here's the OOB. I'm posting this data so the developers can get a handle on the changes 1.04 has made to game play.

Around Leningrad, if I am not mistaken, you are in the ascendency, because he's not deployed enough force there to take it directly. Hard to know since I am not sure what is south around Pskov from the screenshot.
It's a small ray of hope -- I'd really concentrate on those ports on Lake Ladoga.. get them covered up and probably withdraw everthing that isn't in Leningrad to the east bank of the Volkhov and get them dug in. If you can hang on to that line, plus Leningrad, he might have a nasty blizzard surprise with you driving south west towards his supply lines?

I've been meaning to ask--what are you doing with support units? I've always found it most useful to give each army 2-3 RR construction brigades (for digging in) and then making sure that they each have 2-3 artillery regiments.
