Moscow Front May 1942

The Axis have massed lots of Infantry Armies and Corps supported by 3 Pzr Groups and rocket Arty but haven't yet
managed to punch a hole in my defence line, The Red Army has received an Infantry Corps and a AT unit as reinforcements

Don Front May 1942

The Axis have destroyed a Red Army Corps but a spirited counter attack by
soviet forces force the Italians to retreat with heavy losses

North Africa May 1942

The 8th Army sweeps west and the only opposition seems to be HQ and Garrison
units I hope this continues until I reach Tunisia

Battle of the Norweigan sea May 1942

The Kreigsmarine Heavy units have engaged the Allies escort forces and sunk the RN 5th L Cruiser Sqn and
demolished the 1st Cruiser Sqn, There are Wolf packs around but I cant let this chance to engage and destroy
the German Heavy units slip away the Home Fleet and the US Atlantic fleet move in

Battle of the Norweigan sea 1942

The Home fleet and the US Atlantic fleet have sailed into a hornets nest of KM ships including Tirpitz/Bismark/Sharnhorst
the Hvy cruisers Sheer and Deutshland plus numerous Destroyer flottilas and wolfpacks.
Tirpitz is the first ship to go down as the heavy units clash followed by the RN 2nd Cruiser Sqn also the Battle Cruiser
Renown is crippled, The destroyers and wolfpacks battle it out with one wolfpack destroyed, There is another KM Battle cruiser
out there somewhere.This battle is not over yet

June 1942

Here is the combat loss report for late june the Axis have hit me realy hard
this turn, I don't think I can sit in my defence lines and let them attack I
think I need to hit back and try to unbalance them,

Leningrad Front June 1942

German Panzers have demolished two infantry corps and badly damaged two
Army's which I have repaired, I need to counter attack and hope to destroy
at least one of his Panzer Korps

Moscow Front June 1942

Several Red Army units have been destroyed but the soviets strike back and destroy some
Panzers , Moscow Front needs to be reinforced with Mech and Tank units, My Airforce has
upgraded to lvl 3 and is in the fight now I hope this will slow down the Axis attacks

Don Front June 1942

The Don Front holds despite a Mech corps and an Infantry corps being
destroyed I cant survive these sort of losses, The Axis seems to outnumber
me everywhere

June 1942 Norweigan Sea

The British Home Fleet has limped home after losing HMS Renown, A Heavy Cruiser Sqn a Light Cruiser Sqn and a Light
Cruiser Sqn almost destroyed, The US Atlantic Fleet took some damage but fought well whilst the Kreigs Marine lost
the Battleships Tirpitz,Bismark and the Battle Cruisers Sharnhorst and Gneisenau plus 2 CA 2 DD and 2 SS so I think
a victory to the Allies

Leningrad Front July 1942

The German army attacks and destroys an Infantry army with Hvy Panzers, The Red Army needs to hit back
and contain this powerful unit, Stavka will reinforce this front with more tanks and Tac Air.

Don Front July 1942

The Axis are attacking along the front and destroying more Red Army units, On the plus side the
Red airforce fighters are hitting back at the Luftwaffe and causing damage

North Africa july 1942

The Eight Army is about to complete the destruction of Axis Forces in North Africa by capturing Tripoli which willleave
the way open to Tunisia and the destruction of Vichy forces in North Africa.

Leningrad Front August 1942

The Red Army has hit back hard destroying a German Hvy Panzer Korps and forcing 5th Panzer to fall back,
Im confident that this front is now pretty secure leaving me to concentrate more MMP on other fronts.

Moscow Front August 1942

Stavka has ordered the Orel front onto the offensive while the Moscow Front holds firm, Im putting together
a mixed force of Infantry Tanks Mech and Arty to launch an offensive towards Kursk and beyond from a start line
around Voronezh, This will be the turning point of the war in the east ( I hope )im spending most of the Soviets MMP
on this offensive for the next few turns.

Don Front August 1942

The Axis are battering my defence line again but the Red army keeps hitting back.
This Front seems stable but I may send some Corps just to make sure

Norweigan Sea August 1942

The German Heavy Cruiser Admiral Scheer is spotted and attacked by escort destroyers and carrier air.
The Admiralty hopes this is the last of the Kreigs Marine heavy units destroyed.

Overveiw of the entire ETO Late August 1942

Overall I think im in good shape to turn my defence in Russia to attack although the Axis are a little ahead
in Tech ive destroyed plenty of there units on my defence lines, Ive been saving MMP for the expansion of the
Red Army and will attack in September or October from the general area of Voronezh where there appears to be a
bit of a gap in the front line that is thinly held.

The Eight Army in North Africa will Invade Vichy Tunisia followed by Algeria and Sicily while forces from the US
and Britain will assault Spain and knock them out of the war.

At sea the Allied navies will continue to patrol the convoy routes and hunt down wolf packs while destroying any
Axis heavy naval units that appear
Im spending on tech with the priority being Inf Weapons/Tank/Air and ASW I need to catch up with and keep in front
of the Axis in this area

Jutland Late August 1942

Danish intelligence warned of KM heavy units passing through the Kattegat so the Allied navy
set up a screen of destroyers aided by coastal commands maritime bombers which spotted the carrier
Graf Zepplin escorted by a destroyer screen the resulting battle was a disaster for the KM

I notice that the AI is using very badly its Panzerkorps .
It is especially obvious on the Leningrad front where it has 3 armies AND 3 Panzerkorps AND 1 artillery .
Normally your defence line should have evaporated in 2 turns because you have nothing there to stop such a force .
An attack 1 Army + 1 Panzer corps (let alone 2) = death for the opposing Soviet unit . Then the Army advances, the Panzers retreat, reinforce . Rince, repeat .
Once the German either destroyed or forced all your units to retreat in a marsh, the battle South of Leningrad is over .

I think that it is because there is only one important rule for the use of Panzers - never ever put them in a marsh unless there is no ennemy unit nearer than 100 km .
Yet the AI found the brilliant idea to put every single Panzerkorps in a marsh
Also there doesn't seem to be an elite German HQ in Luga where it should be to allow full strength reinforcement and readiness for all attacking units .
