Honestly I think the game is in a pretty good place now, for me I could see making USSR weaker in 41 and stronger by 43 and up but I guess it evens out, Leningrad still needs fixed, but also pretty minor it's only 1 hex
Been out of the loop for quite a long time, so maybe dumb question: what needs to be fixed with Leningrad in the latest version?

The fact that the events for encirclement is not quite right (road of life).

I see. But it is only a matter of fixing the event files or does it need code changes as well?

Is the issue that the Road of Life now only works in winter conditions? If so, that seems to be a code thing, since I see no events that regulate the Road of Life anywhere?

It is hard coded that I remember.

I am a little rusty, has that been changed recently? Before the Road of Life worked all year?

Only works during winter months. Why? Because trucks can drive on ice but not on a lake.

From what I know the line was open also in summer with ferries etc. The only times when it was closed was in case of thin ice in Early Spring and late Fall (too to much ice for boats, but to little for trucks).

From Wikipedia:
Transport across Lake Ladoga was achieved by means of watercraft during the warmer months and land vehicles driven over thick ice in winter (hence the route becoming known as the "Ice Road"). The security of the supply route was ensured by the Ladoga Flotilla, the Leningrad PVO Corps, and route security troops.
Another source:
In spring of 1942, when navigation was restored, the Ladoga war flotilla appeared on the lake again. This year, it had more enemies: in addition to the air force, the Soviet sailors had to withstand detachments of German and Italian torpedo boats, operating from the Finnish naval base in Lahdenpohja. On top of that, the so-called ‘flotilla of ferries’ of German ‘Siebel’ landing barges was formed.
The enemy, however, was not able to change the situation on the Ladoga Lake in its favor. Also, it could not prevent the laying of the main pipeline for supply of the blockade Leningrad with combustible fuel and fuel at the bottom of the lake in May-June 1942.

Yes, just get rid of these events and put a port on the other side of Lake Ladoga. You can open and close it by events during winter when Lake is frozen. Or, you can freeze the lake just like you are doing in the Baltic.

Sadly a port would mean they could ship in more units / fresh units...and that would not be a good add in my eyes.

I'm happy to report the initial feedback is that the Soviets are perfect now in the new scenarios.
I still think Germany should be back to 30 manpower per turn however, try as I might I cannot go below 50% before 1945. Effectively my entire army is elite.
