If I may make a request: giving an option to alter sonobuoy spacing on ASW Patrol missions. One big problem with ASW Patrol missions is that sometimes, the default spacing doesn't really take into account the capabilities of the sonobuoys in question. I would love to be able to tighten up the spacing for less capable sonobuoys.

Bring some uncertainty regarding a contacts domain if sensors shouldn't be able to narrow down the correct domain of the contact. IMHO this could done eventually by introducing new domain(s) like Unspecified, Seaborne (if not clear if ship or surfaced submarine) or ELINT-Track.
The added save-file shows an ELINT truck that instantaneously identifies the correct domain, while each platform is emitting the same radar.

Add an opportunity to give a boat a name in the Edit Boat window, like in the Edit Aircraft Window.

A pair of QoL suggestions:
Weapons in the right panel.
Add icons before the weapon for every type, anti-land, anti-surface, decoys, etc.
If no icons available, perhaps just letters AL, AS, D, etc.

When you want to change the sensors of a group, the 3 possibilities are clickable when it is not always possible. However in the unit panel what is not available is greyed out.

Filtering in the add cargo dialog is pretty slow for database items. Quality of life thing.

Visualistaion for effective weapon coverage. Currently max. range is shown as a simple ring around the unit/group.
There could be an option to show the max weapon range like it is shown with the circle segments for sensors. Ideally for the current situation based on available weapon directors and operational mounts, theoretical max range should be depicted like the theoretical sonar circles and CZ rings but in transparent weapon colour.

That would be quite difficult since each weapon has its own "effective" range. Also it depends a lot on the enviroment and the threat.

never mind, it's just an idea, since the rings are sometimes misleading. So I placed it here.
Effective may the wrong word, I didn't mean it dynamically or WRA based. Name it directional max. range. E.g. sonar is also heavily depended on environment but the shape of the max sonar range keeps at the same size that is okay.

With current USAF/USMC concept of operations like ACE etc, their jet aircraft are expected to operate from relatively austere forward bases on a temporary basis, where the jets stopover to refuel and rearm then carry out another mission.
For maintenance and repair they would then recover at a more elaborate airbase further back from the frontlines.
Current modeling in CMO is not able to handle this without some LUA wizardry, as aircraft with A2G payloads will take 4 to 6 hours to rearm.
I would like for an option to allow for quick rearm and refueling for aircraft (with rearming and refueling carried out in around 10 to 15 min, according to some articles), but when this option is activated the aircraft's total flying time would not be reset.

To set a the proficiency of a unit, now you can right-click on an airbase and give all the aircraft a different setting than the whole side it belongs to. Great.
Often I would like to give a certain squadron a different proficiency. For example. There is an operational squadron and a (OCU)training squadron on the same base.
This training sq is probably not as solid (because they fly the basics) than the operational squadron. It's just an example/
It would be very nice if you open the aircraft menu and right click on a number of aircraft en with the right-click the proficency menu pops up (just as it does with the whole airbase).

Add various sized fireball/flames to rocket propelled weapons, vessels. I suggest to give them fireballs in sizes VS/S/M/L/VL like the smoketrail they would produce. Means a manpad has a very small fireball while the one of a Minuteman III is enormous.
Here is a link to a site about visibility of missile launches from Vandenberg AFB. IMHO smoketrails should dominant at daytime while fireballs are better visible at night. If possible the flames are better visible from the aft hemisphere of the missile ans one or two magnitudes less from front hemisphere.
I added a scen file where the Minuteman is visible only a few miles after launch.
