FEBRUARY 10TH-12TH, 1942
INVASION OF CEYLON:
Bombur had left some 30 ships in port at Trincomalee.....even though most of these ships were eventually sunk, they did a good job of absorbing the IJN naval bombardments and aerial bombardments at Trincomalee. When a shock attack was delivered on 2/10/42, a SEAC regiment has just reinforced Tincomalee and the initial Japanese assualt was repulsed. After 2 days of aerial bombardment an all out shock attack is ordered for tomorrow.

15,000 Allied soldiers surrender and all of Java has now been overrun.....6 SAA divisions and 2 brigades are now released for the India invasion. The troops will rest and prep for a few days while the port at Batavia is cleared of mines and then the transports will commence loading operations.
PHILIPPINES:
The daily aerial and ground bombardments continue at Manila....a deliberate assault is ordered for tomorrow.
CHINA:
Now that Japan has broken through the Chinese roadblock 60 miles west of Hangchow, 4 IJA divisions and 4 brigades are poised to open the Shanghai/Nanchang road. First, the Japanese southern flank will be secured by the capture of Wenchow. Once the road to Nanchang is opened Japan will be in a position to launch an offensive towards Changsha.
