TCp/IP problems

Gentlemen and Ladies,
Myself and seven friends are trying to play a MP game of COG. We spent a great deal of last night trying to login. No joy. My PC will be the host none of my friends
could find my IP. Could anyone assist?

Good news. We have resolved the firewall/router issues and have started trialing multi-play.
Bad News. It seems quite unstable - we had several hangs during battles (quick battles) especially when reinforcements were being called in - all after a small number if turns. I saw some references to TCP/IP mode issues - is it usable in multi-play?? Is there anything we can do to make it more stable?

Sadly, the game is very unstable TCP/IP, with critical issues that make the game unplayable.
Our group has tried numerous times; detail battle problems and general instability (freezes, jumps, players being booted for no apparent reason) make it unworkable.
I still enjoy the game single player; it's currently broken for TCP/IP.
