Question.
Scenario: ATB, Assualt on Peprez, Playing as the Germans
I had two units stacked behind trees, 50 cm Mortar & Pak 38.
I selected the Mortar and the "Hide" icon was active. I selected the Pak 38 and the "Hide" icon WAS NOT ACTIVE. Why was one unit able to hide and the other unit (occuping the same hex) unable to hide?

Hi gene,
I know there are still a few random bugs present. Hopefully 1.06 update will fix this.

Whacko,
Thanks for the info. I was wondering if I missed something in the rules. BTW, my other Pak's couldn't hide either, even though they were not in LOS of the enemy. Waiting for the next patch.

Also gene, this is just a hunch, but did you ever consider that AT guns cannot be "hidden" the exception being entering the game "hidden"

Whacko,
I think you're right. I read "Price of Honour" boardgame rules and it says only "Squads" can hide. Squads were defined as those counters with a RED movement cost of two or less. Anti-tank guns do meet this criteria.
I don't think the PC manual states this criteria.

Sorry,
I meant anti tank guns DO NOT meet the squad criteria, therefore they can't hide.

Guns can begin a scenario hidden, but they are not allowed to hide during a game. Only squads can hide during the game.

Speaking about hiding, 2 things wich are in the boardgame and not implemented :
I use the last rulebook as reference :
Price of Honour Rules Online
First (5.5) : "Hidden units don't have a facing until they are revealed and placed on the map. At this time the player may choose their facing."
Second (5.5.2) : Un-hit squads that are out of enemy LOS may spend 7 APs to hide themselves
within a 1 hex radius of their current position.
I think these two rules could be implemented easily in a future patch ?

I talked about both these rules with Uwe during development, and we didn't think they were necessary for the computer game. The lack of facing for hidden units is simply a bookkeeping expediency; it isn't meant to have any deep effect on game play. The rule for hiding in nearby hexes is meant to approximate fog-of-war, but the computer game simulates this directly.
