What could go wrong in Burma?

Hello all- No peeking schani!
Marco and I are back at it.
We are going to play the Burma Rd. I will handle the Allies and try to capture everything as I move south across the map against Marc.
I have rarely played Rising Sun, but I am looking forward to this scenario.
It is 12 turns with four victory locations totalling 125 points.
It starts out with a few units on the very top of the map, and I have to move against what I am guessing is a very dug in Japanese enemy. I am not sure if he has any armor, not that it would be very good anyways. Even if he does, I have to respect it. I plan on moving off of the beaten path as much as possible, within the time constraints of the game. I ran into this in snow in the last game if you recall.. you all mentioned that I would want to take a smaller approach.
All of my reinforcements are infantry, a few engineers, and a mortar platoon. I really like mortars to dislodge a stubborn position. If I know anything about Marc, he likes to dig in his infantry and make me fight for every inch. I enjoy playing defender in most scenarios, as it seems to be easier. However, we're going to hit him hard and fast.
BTW - ZERO visibility, all hexes limited to adjacent hex for range..this could lead for a huge advantage for attacker on suprise attacks, but could also lead for a nasty ambush by the defender if I am not careful.

BTW - if someone could really help me out with a graphics tool, I would love to be able to provide better screenies. I just use paint, and uploads are limited to 150kbs anyways.
WiTPAE is no problem as you can upload a bigger file size there.
What is up with that?

Turn 2 results-
No reinforcements arrived this turn
Moved up the three infantry platoons. Two are now moving down the road on the left to the first VP location, while the third platoon is on the right to the right. The HQ unit is fixed, so I am not moving it.
No enemy contact so far...approaching first VP with caution would cause delay in getting to the others. Going to just rush in and keep moving. His units can only see one hex just like mine...

If you're using Windows 7, you can click Start and type in "Snipping Tool"
This will allow you to capture any area on your desktop and then save the results as a GIF, PNG, etc.

The next few screenies are from the start of turn 3. Two platoons and a leader have arrived in the SW corner of the map this turn...not going to push them too far forward, just advance a hex a piece and save points to fire if Marc moves. I doubt he'll end up moving much, as he is the defender. I will continue advancing down both roads, hoping that his left flank will be lightly defending.
I am ready to upload all of the pinned images..
The JTCS site only allows 250kb for uploading an image, and WiTPAEs site allows for 1mb...why is that? These pictures are going to look awful.
Please tell me it doesn't have anything to do with site traffic/popularity.. if so, that blows.

Moved the units down south into position to advance once the northern platoons capture their VP locations and continue south.
This is actually turn 3 not 2 as noted in the text box.
Marc has sent me the turn.

Northern area situation.
I haven't seen any units yet, and I a beginning to wonder if opposition will be light if any up north. A bunch of reinforcements keep arriving in the SW corner of the map...I know that is where the final action will take place, but it looks like it could be there sooner rather than later, and I want to consolidate my forces as fast as possible.

Are you setting JPG compression high enough to get your image files just under the 250Kb limit?
Also, in your graphics software, try shrinking the image display size before writing to compressed JPG file.
(Much as I love WITP:AE, I agree that the double standard blows.)

My head just exlpoded.....I understand sorta what you're saying..all I know how to do is save the file as different types...that is IT.

Turn 4 results (South):
A lot of action this turn. Our forces have finally made contact with each other, wotj Marc striking first. I figured he would strike first. I am the attacker, and his units will have full APs for firing at first contact.
Very little causalties (2inf lost to his 1)... We are playing with extreme FOW, which I don't normally, but would the losses have FOW in them as well?
Any how.. the game in now starting to get to the good part.
Turn sent to Marc earlier after work...I'll expect it around 745 am.
I did call Marc tonight to tell him about the fishing here. (I am a big fisherman) I told him I am starting to discover his position and expected to be slaughtered this turn, eventhough I moved all of my men to cover. He said there weren't a whole lot of casualties this turn, and he goofed up a unit trying to fire smoke, and accidently hit move...we'll see what he's talking about in the AM.
