been working on this, and got stacking done(Question, Should we have stack limits because in real life you can get a lot of armies in one big area, anyway for the moment I have used unlimited stacking), got movement done, got group movement done as well as movement costs etc..., . I will keep you posted.

Should we have stack limits
Maybe make it an optional setting for fine tuning purposes.

I stacking limits are appropriate. Depending, of course, on scale (both for unit size and hex size. And perhaps on turn length?

I think I should allow stacking, but impose penalties like loss of excess units at turn end, and give a warning on oversized stacks. but both your points helped me think about it thanks

Not all that fond of only checking stacking at turn end. I suspect it can be misused, Over-stacking, for example, for an attack to get better result and then hope to avoid the overstacking by advancing into the attacked hex (or taking the unit as a loss and thus making counter-attacks tougher).

I can understand that from a classic game point of view, but a hex can be a large area, dont armies have a massive buildup for an advance then thin out. you may be right though a game mechanic is well used probably is right
