What year is the game set in?

Obviously you can select a year, in the editor. But what general time period is it? Will people in 2030 still make scenarios?
The eagle is retiring around 2025. Falcon, raptor, some Nimitz class are the same timeframe. F 35 was never fully operational.
Ships are supposed to last 50 years. The Iowa was built in 1945 and retired 1990. So, the early burkes will retire.
Basically by the 2030s all the oobs will be rewritten to remove all the dead ships. Or are you expecting ww3?

Units won’t be removed because you can make historical scenarios…
Units will get added as data becomes available on them. 6th gen fighters, H-20 stealth bomber, B-21, Type 004 CVN etc.

Guys it is the troll from the air effectiveness thread. Ignore him.

What are sixth gen fighters? I don't think a single one has happened.
Given the Chinese collapse I wouldn't bet on the h20.
B-21- maybe.
Type 004 CVN- again China.
I don't see any way to change the oob besides unit removal or non use. Virtually no major weapon platform is plausible to introduce in the next ten years.

I thought he had a valid (albeit absurd) concern over the game but was going about highlighting it in the wrong manner, but based on his response above this it looks like it is about time to do so (ignore him).

What is so objectionable about my response? That besides China, nobody is developing new ships?

TIL Ford, Arleigh Burke Flt 3, and Constellation classes don’t exist.

Virginia class is delayed and ships laid down a decade ago were never launched.
0 ford class are made and they never got the catapult to work.
Constellation class is essentially a missile patrol boat with a 3inch gun.

Missile patrol boat still counts as a ship.
Also the first Ford was commissioned in 2017, so you are just wrong about that.

Again...the reading thing.
The FFG-62 has a planned displacement of 7400 tons. Thats over twice as big as the FFG OHP and almost twice as much as the newer PLAN frigate 054. It has a more flexible and heavier armament
Might want to read a few things now and then.

That doesn't really make it any better. Especially if China is in rapid social collapse.

But is a lot newer design than the 54A.
Reading is fundamental. I think you really could take advantage of this program.

I am not defending any foreign navy, the USN is the only one, and the Burke is the only surface combatant it has left. Basically CMO could be played until 2070 with no changes except removal of ships.

I know doing this is just a cry for help. I'll repost from the other thread in case you missed it.
You really need to actually read the stuff we put up. The first step is to admit you have a problem. No one can help until you do that. Living with a secret like that is just not right. It'll be a release to ask for help. I can send you videos instead if you are set on not admitting you can't read.

Can you find any surface combatants besides one or two being introduced?
