Guadalcanal anything?

Anyone have a Guadalcanal map, started a mini-campaign of such, or even have an airfield artwork? I've got some ideas that I think would make for a great scenario like the 1941 Rostov one. But I'm just starting to get the minimum understanding of the editor needed.

Are you asking for a scenario with a map of just Guadalcanal?
If yes, I am not aware of anything for SC that is focused on such a narrow area.

A map is a good place to start! But there was zero mention when I ran a search. I think Guad would be a good fit if you zoom in the map enough. No research or diplo, 1 day turns, ships AP is reduced, firing range longer, maybe a brigade = company. Reinforcements and ships arrive as they did IRL on the production chart, mpps are mostly for reinforcing units or launching amphibs. So protecting transports would be a top priority.
It would be a monumental task but I think it would work well.

Man I'm getting the Avalon Hill 'Guadalcanal' vibes here.

The SC engine could handle this scale but a lot of work would be required.

Hi Nginear,
I managed to find these maps in a search. I hope this helps you. Also you may want to click on the link to Wikimedia Commons for a very detailed map. I would suggest to download the largest size so you can zoom in and clearly see roads etc...

Hey thanks for these Unfortunate! I've had trouble finding high resolution maps, these are helpful ty.
Is there a way to transfer them into the program? Or do I have to create each hex by hand? Also is there a quick way to do coast lines, like roads and rails?
So far I've entered every initial US ship and Marine regiments and battalions, reworked the naval stats, and turned the LR-av into a destroyer transport. For scale I'm thinking a land hex is 2 miles and a water hex is 5... which makes the map roughly 100x100.
Got several ideas for events but haven't gotten that far into learning how to write them.

Richard B. Frank's book is a good source for this campaign.

Nginear,
If you are asking me I do not know how to incorporate a map into the editor. I am sure one of the other modders can help you or possible the developers.
