WITE2 Links Collection

A list of possibly useful links. Since I got tired looking for some people's Posts and my own to find certain things for the 10th time.

I structured in a way that makes sense to me, but obv. there are some links which could be added in several different categories - bear with me.

If something useful is missing, add it in the Thread and I will add it to the list.
I did not (yet) add all the different Tutorials/Guides of the War Room Subforum, since the most important ones are tagged/pinned there already. Not sure when I find time to look through all Threads there.
The mostly visual Mods of DerKuenstler are not included in the List, I am planning to go through all his stuff separately at one point since he added lots of stuff for the community.

Regarding Mods I did not check if Mods are still available/downloadable - comment on that in their specific Threads and not here! I made some notes on Mod compatibility but will not make a 100% promise on which mods are overwriting each others mod's files. The good info is, that missing "mod compatibility" in this game does not cause any issues regarding crashes, it just overwrites other mods files.

THANK YOU! What a fantastically useful list. I used to do something like this for myself, but with non-niche games having so much content on YouTube ... I find videos in general better to learn from.

Wiedrock,

I believe some of the above is deprecated.

* It looks like this was included in the game UI, but is not mentioned in the change log. "MOD: bright rows for German and Soviet commandersreport"

* It look like this was included in the game UI, but is not mentioned in the change log. Instead of making the fort value smaller, it looks like they shifted the fort value further down and retained its size. "Wied's UI Mod - basics"

FYI - You may want to note the first is unnecessary, and remove the fort art rework from the second; your call.

Thank you again for your help through the years with this game!

Okay, my mistake. Now, I see the fort value location seems based on the HEX art displayed. It can in fact block some important numbers, and making it smaller still helps for those who want it always displayed. Sorry, my mistake!

I don't think it was included, the lines are there in vanilla game but he made them either brighter (silver) or darker (black). I don't know how he handled the Soviet side, since there are different colors for the factions to be modified.

In vanilla you still have important counter numbers as well as "size indicators" (e.g. I, II, III, X, XX ...) being covered but fort level indicators. I simply used the smaller ones in the closer zoom level, so basically "one zoom-level shifted" logos and moved them around slightly as needed. I basically eliminated the largest version of the fort level indiocators.
I guess with bad eyes it my be slightly harder to see the smaller indicators, but in vanilla the closest zoom fort level indicators numbers are larger than the counter numbers, so who can read the counter numbers, can also read the smaller fort indicators, which additionally provide some "shape" indication for different levels.
