Using AI testing for scenario design

I appreciate the devs for including the F1, F2, and F3 commands to debug the game yourself if you are doing modding/scenario design

However, I am having trouble "reading" the logs and saved games to replicate AI behavior while playing the game myself

I can find them and open them, but the contents of the .txt files don't make complete sense to me

Can anyone help me with this?

I suppose, what exactly do certain things mean?

For example:

1904-02-09
|1000| Japan: True
|7| Japan: True

Those are clearly decisions for events, but what do they refer to exactly?

Yes, so they provide the Decision Event number, and the True means it has fired.
