Ordnance question

Post by Zen »

OK, I am getting back into LnL again after being focused on other activities. After reading and re-reading the first paragraph of Section 14.0, I believe I am handling, say, a bazooka shot correctly, but I thought I should make sure.

The rule says that "...ordnance is fired separately from other units in the hex." So, if I have an infantry MMC with a bazooka, and I want to fire at an enemy infantry unit within range, the MMC fires first, per the unusual Direct Fire rules, and then the bazooka fires itself, so to speak, using the HE equivalent and the Ordnance rules. In other words, even though there are no personnel depicted on the ordnance counter, they are imagined to be manned by a man or two from the MMC which is carrying it, as thus can fire independently, although the ordnance must be carried by another unit.

Or am I completely in left field? [:'(]

Thanks for any help. I find I remember and apply rules correctly when I can visualize the action.
