Just wanted to say thanks

Post by JudgeDredd »

I've finished my first Anglo-French campaign and I was very impressed with how things became clear.

I posted in the general forum about how games may be becoming too complicated and used a reply to a post I made here as an example. This brought about accusations of not reading the manual or playing the tutorials.

Whilst my post wasn't about this game specifically, I did include a post reply from this forum in that post, therefore people assumed I was speaking specifically about this game.

Whilst I did find the manual and tutorials lacking, I did read the posts which suggested all would become clear. So I have stuck with the game and, true to the posters, the game has opened up for me. It really has become clear and I understand alot more than I did a month ago.

A great system, and a great game. Many thanks for providing me with this entertainment.

I do have AACW, but I fired it up last night and quickly shut it down. Alot more to do!! But I look forward to getting my teeth into it...it is obviosuly bred from a great game engine.

Well done and thx again.

That wuld seem to be the case on my first opening of the game. Can' wait to get my teeth into it.

My only concern is the manual isn't much bigger than the Birth of America manual. Now if the BoA one was inadequate, I am concerned, I have to say.

BUT...I will withold judgement until I read it. [:D]

I have been playing pretty hard for the last month or so. I am still finding new aspects of the game which make significant differences in game play. This game has a substantial depth which certainly wasn't obvious to me from reading the rules or my first few games.

JD, I responded to your request for a PBEM game. However I don't know if you received my response routed by Matrix. If you are still interested in a PBEM, let me know.

Jagger

I appreciate your interest in a PBEM game but I would rather not play PBEM. I've never realy got into playing other players...I guess it's because I always find the AI challenging enough for my experience level. That makes me wonder when I might have asked for one!

Anyway, thx for the offer, but no thank you. [:)]

Sorry Judge, I am confusing you with someone with the same initials as you.
