Detailed Battles

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

Detailed Battles

Hi there,

I am new to this game, and wondering how the hell I can choose detailed battles. I´ve seen combat a couple of times, but every time I was thrown into quick combat without having a choice.

Check the Options screen - you probably have the "Always Quick Combat" option on so you just need to click if off.

It doesn't make any sense, Admiral. Were we better than the Japanese or just luckier?

I thought so. Looks like you need about 30,000 men on each to get a choice.

At least I got a choice with 36,000 vs 32,000, but not with 28,000 vs 25,000.
