Is it really possible to fly Interdict against enemy Bridge hexes (like it says in the manual)? How? Bridges are marked on the map, but they don't seem to have any obvious use.

No, not possible, and apparently hard to implement. It was planned so the manual has it, but it must have been dropped at the last minute.

It was implemented in the game Western Front (that is very similar to WIR, don't know what the relationship is though...). But I think it would make WIR too easy for a human player.;)
