Suez Canal

Commander – Napoleon at War is the second in a series of high level turn based strategy games. It spans the Napoleonic Wars from 1805 to 1815, allowing players to control France or the Coalitions against it through the entire period or in shorter scenarios. Easy to learn, with fun and addictive gameplay, this is a Napoleonic wargame in the style of the old "Panzer General".

What is the Suez Canal doing on the map? The canal was opened in 1869, long after the age of Napoleon...

Yes this is a BIG abstraction huh?

Napoleon dreamt of it - Slitherine gives it to us!

For those unaware, the rules actually deem the Suez Canal operational for the player owning Alexandria. It calls it a "Transportation Loop" [X(]

I think I'll have more to say on this later...
