In our PBEM game neither of us are getting combat animations. We both have then turned ON, but when we are getting the turn back in e-mail and then running it - Neither of us see them.

When we goto check the settings they are turned off. What gives? No animations for sea combat is going to suck. How does it get fixed please.

If the Japanese player has animations turned off and then turns it on, it will take a couple of turns before the animations return. I have no idea as to why this is the case, but that's how it works.
