playable yet? Part II

Empires in Arms is the computer version of Australian Design Group classic board game. Empires in Arms is a seven player game of grand strategy set during the Napoleonic period of 1805-1815. The unit scale is corps level with full diplomatic options

winter in turkey? wait till we ship you to Siberia and see how cold it is there! Maybe we should have started a grapeshot AAR!!!!

Maybe, to be honest I don't think there are too many PBEM games in play atm, except for that gazfun gaming group.

There's more than you think! I'm getting updates from several and still dealing with some older version PBEM games AND I'm even playing in a few under cover ;-)

Neverman, there is probably more than that. I'm in 2 games which don't have any connection to gazfun's group, and I am sure there others. I think a number of peolpe came back with 1.06.

Heh, sorry about that.  That was an old sig from the time when MG still had an off-topic forum and encouraged flamewars. :)  Deleted now.

Wow. This is a long thread.

I will just say that I really like this game. Bugs are minor, particularly when compared with some other bigger budget games I've played.

I'm also impressed with the level of engagement of the designers/coders in the forums and in response to bugs.

The EIA board game is one of the most complex board games around (multi-player, mix of diplomacy and warfare, etc.)

I think the Matrix team has done a terrific job of translating it to the computer.

My 2 cents.

Kai

Is this an admission that there actually are Matrix people running around undermining me? ;)

pzngdr is most definitely not a Matrix employe, although he's been around this forum longer than I have.

Roger that. Genuinely helping with a game's development has its own rewards. Patience is a virtue. [;)]

Actually, I know ALL of the Matrix people and NONE of them are running around in here. If someone is undermining you (Which I cannot imagine :-0) then they aren't Matrix staff!

In 1.0603
The AI still has, from what im told it doesnt really build for minors.
It DOWs vs minors when not able to follow through, resulting lapse of wars.
It ignores host-options like disabled-Lille crossing, it ignores Light fleets blocking if Lille crossing Enabled.

Yes, I've had both in FtF... finishes and ones that just died out. I guess I was hoping the ability to play anyone anytime might change that.
