Playing as the Allies

Post by JRBIGG »

I realize this is probably a totally newbie question, but I just downloaded the game. One question - I note that when I begin the 1939 campaign, I can play as the Allies which as of 1939 includes Great Britain, France, Poland and Iraq. As the game progresses and new countries enter the Allied alliance (such as the US or USSR) do I as the human player automatically control these countries? In other words is there any way for me to start the 1939 campaign and control all Allied countries including those who enter in 1941, etc?

Yes, you must put them to human control at first. When germany lunch Barbarrosa in 41 you will be able to attack, until then you can just to move troop around, buy units and spend pp's into research.Or you can declare war on Baltic states or Finland while waiting for germans to come.

You can also hit F11 to change the controller of the country or doing it during loading the game.
