I am a huge fan of this show here. Firstly, i wanna say that season 1 is not so good to watch and I found this show less interesting. But, in season 2 this show twists tremendously. Almost amazing series.

I did a quiz on the WD website. Turned out I was Rick, though I wanted to be Dale.

Checked out the comics on Amazon. Hardcover and 300+ pages! 7 volumes! I'm buying!

Damn, I meant I wanted to be Daryl not Dale, Dale got on my nerves.

LOL, I wondered about that, Wodin. Daryl is awesome.
I have a subtle and cunning plan.

I read the comics and watched the series and I have to say that I like the comic much better but I'm not too surprised by that. While I did not want to see a direct frame by frame copy from page to film, I thought that they should have at least tried out some of the books ideas. Dale is a perfect example: In the book, he is bitten by a walker in the leg, and Rick amputates it to prevent the infection from spreading and it works. Now in the book, he was banging Laurie, which I guess would get a big "EWWWW" if that was translated to the screen, but it helped keep his morale "up", until he gets bit again, and then wanders off only to have his other leg cut off by human cannibals. A fun time was had by all!
Now they are setting up the next story arc which is the prison run by "The Governor". This arc has some of the most brutal and sadistic imagery in the entire book and so I'm not expecting the writers for the series to take much from it.
A series such as this would have been better served by Homebox or Showtime (who I'm sure are kicking themselves in the ass for not taking it up) rather than a station like AMC. Any time you have to appease the sponsors of your commercials there are bound to be creative limitations.
