I know there haven't been many downloads so far, but how is the general feeling about the standard resolution images? Is anyone missing the high-res, would they like me to continue making them?

Yeah, I'm making new planets for my ME mod. I made a couple with the textures from that site. I'm almost done, but if you don't mind I would really like to mix the ones I did with some of the ones from this thread. Is it OK with you guys?

Definately Kalthaniell. I think we should all pull our resources to help make complete replacements for all the planet images.

There have been several planet texture threads, but we're never going to see a complete mod if we don't work together.

This is the 'open' thread, that means everyone is welcome to come and post their own images to help complete the mod, and they're also welcome to take whatever images they want for their own projects.

I found some zips of planets provided by the awesome modders here! The three zips have great looking planets in them but I believe the one you'll be most interested in are the Graphic Enhancement Mod (GEM) by Martian and New Planets standard res as that's most of the samples I think that were shown here and most of the ones I use. Feel free to download from my Google drive! As Igard said all credits go to original creators, if I missed anyone let me know:

Click on the link, on the page that comes up look to the top left corner, click on file and at the bottom of the menu is download, click that and the download will start.
