River, mountain, lake names?

Post by Grotius »

Is it possible to add names to rivers, mountains, lakes, and other terrain features? It would add a lot of flavor to know which river we're fighting over, for example.

Thanks!

+1

This should be done for all wargames as standard.

You can add names to any hex, and the name should display in the small terrain window.
But it will only display on the main map if there's a flag in the hex (and currently no unit occupying the hex).

So you could add a river name to all river hexes and maybe put a flag on one of the hexes.

Thanks for your reply. I guess I can try that.

Any hope the game might eventually support a simple text label on any hex? If I really had my druthers, it would be in italics, so we might see Seine R. or Mt. Fuji.

Good idea, it would nice to be able to use some'normal' font characteristics; bold, italics, underscore etc.
Right now I think the devs are busy fixing the 2.6.7 bugs...

(note that I'm only a humble, regular player with no inside information [8D])

Copy the scenario to the My Games etc Scenarios folder.
Open the editor and load.
