I strongly agree with the proposal of having individual threads for every company commander.
Individual unit/commander threads have been created in the TotH After Action Report subforum. You may begin organizing your company in the 3 C-47 Dakotas to prepare for the flight over the channel towards the dropzone near Ranville.

As each plane is "loaded" I will post your dropzone maps. You will need to download that map and mark the 3 drop points along with the direction of the planes travel (all 3 in the same direction), then upload it back to your thread. The objectives for your company will be marked with big yellow 'V's.

When I post the map in each of your threads I will include more details for you to make a better plan but I just wanted to post this so you have and idea of where we were at and what the next steps are.

Planes loaded!

I spread the SW and leaders as evenly as possible, taking into account the possibility of a Dakota getting lost or being shot down (I am sure Double Deuce has implemented something about these occurrences [:D]).

I had the LEADER ranks listed wrong, their leadership values were correct, just the ranks were listed wrong. These have been updated.

A note to Commanders, the 'ASL maps' that get posted in your individual unit threads should be considered generic planning maps and will NOT 100% accurately reflect the exact terrain that you find on the ground. This is because some features in the ASL maps cannot be replicated in TotH however, they should be very, very close.

Just an update. The setup for the 1st scenarios are going a little slower than normal because I am having to determine the landing hex for each individual squad and leader. Then I have to work up the victory conditions. I'm hoping it should not be more than another couple days at most.

Well, he did have 2 full squads drift off the map, so he will be going into the landing short of troops although they should show up after first light. [8D]

Two squads? I thought at least an entire platoon would scatter off-map [:D].

I hope my batman has safely landed with the hunting horn intact, otherwise how can we summon those poor chaps getting lost in the lovely French countryside? [:D]

I made a few changes to the 1st Mission. To start, it will be played at 'HARD' difficultly level and not at 'VERY HARD' level. The important thing is to read the information in both the briefing text and AAR Form very closely.

First missions have been sent out via PM. There is no time limit on when you need to complete the mission. Take your time and read all the briefing text. Feel free to post ongoing AAR information, notes, etc in your individual AAR threads so that others can feel your pain. [;)]

Any questions please ask.

Sorry for being MIA. Real life reared its ugly head and I will continue to be indisposed for some time. [:(]
