If so, then I'd humbly candidate myself for the netplay sessions, for Barbarossa Scenario.

Time zone: GMT+2 (Israel)

Steve though wrote, in opening post here, that you should have 02.03.00 installed before running the latest 2.3.4 ...

You could try to link up with Jose in Spain. Neither one of you is a beta tester though.

Since I lost celebrindal, I'm currently looking for a new opponent, preferably a beta tester. I'm in Chicago (Central Time). Send me a PM here, find me on Skype at Pax2575, or contact me on Steam on Pax25.

Where do you want us to post our bugs for this Steve?

Started a Barbarossa scenario with standard rule set.

Cele - Germany, Pax - Rus.

On Rus first impulse we had a fatal bug in that the Russians options were all none for number of actions. We picked combined and is spun right through to the end of the impulse. Pax will post a pic etc.
In Tech Support there is a subforum for NetPlay.

I ran into this bug too, but I haven;t been able to figure out what is happening.

As a temporary work-around, check the Activities Limits on both computers after choosing all the Actions for a side. If there is a problem, restoring the saved game for Actions appears to correct the problem.

I would like to take part too, I am in Madrid, Spain. I don't know whether my free time table will be acceptable. Probably yes for those in Europe or along the Mediterranean, or somebody who is retired,

I am an experienced (but not necessarily very good) WIF player, have tried the game a couple of times but I am rusty regarding selecting units or convoys for example.

I just installed .04.00 I have only played Barbarossa in MWIF but I would play any.

EDIT: grammar.

I wouldn't mind. However, I had had private emails with Juntoalmar, re possibly playing.

Anyway, since Juntoalmaar is going to be able to play very few days, according to what he told me, it could be with both, couldn't it? It's a matter of agreeing a right time, for I used to be free after 4.30 pm but now I reach home about 6.30 provided that I haven't something out of the routine... Weekends are freer, I have several activities but we could find a hole we both can attend, morning, afternoon or evening in the weekend or workdays up to a reasonable time (with a 10 min stop for dinner the game runs along it). GW, Barb, or Guadalcanal?
I'm a beta tester and would like to test Guadalcanal because I am currently playing GW and Barb.
PM me if you are interested.

Guadalcanal wouldn't be my first choice, but I'll give it a shot. I tend to struggle with the Pacific Theater in most WWII games, compared to the war in Europe, and I'm still learning to master the naval system in WIF.

Contact me on Skype (Pax2575) or Steam (Pax25) and we can discuss the specifics.

My friend and I would like to join in the net-play beta testing.
However, he is going on holiday for the whole month of April, so our opportunity for testing would be limited during that month.
Both of us are experienced WiF players having played since the original release.
We are located near St. Louis, Missouri.

Jaguar, I am an experienced wif player as well. You should have more than enough time (if the game doesn't hang beacuse of bugs...), I have played Barbarossa solo in a couple of afternoons+evenings, the game shortens the times so much!

I would say MWIF cuts the time you spend in the board game at least to 1/4 more or less. At least in Barbarossa.

When reading the following, please remember that I am mostly delusional about programming schedules.[8|]

If you can beta test during the latter half of February and all of March, that would be great.[:)] I hope to be able to clean up any yet-to-be-discovered NetPlay bugs by the end of March.

And then there is the fact that I, myself, will be traveling to the east coast in late April.

Hi Jose, I will be quite busy for a few weeks as I'm starting a new job. You can start a game with someone else and I will let you know when I have recovered my life... Maybe for a Barbarossa or Guadalcanal, as I was playing a Global War with some other folks and we may start a new one.

When reading the following, please remember that I am mostly delusional about programming schedules.[8|]
Here is the rule I learned on how to properly estimate the time to do a computer project. (If anyone can identify a source for this, I would appreciate it. It is not original to me.)

First, make the best estimate you can of how long it will take. Then add one to numeral, and increment the time unit by one.

Thus five minutes will take six hours.
Two hours will take three days.
Four days will take five weeks.
Six months will take seven years.

I thought I knew how to play this game....

The one I am familiar with is: "What one programmer can do in one week, two programmers can do in two weeks."

So with Steve we are in good shape here.
