RE: 7.1.1942 DAY OF TRIUMPH

Post by tomamars »

ORIGINAL: Bif1961

Those 2 CVs and 45 DDs will be missed at this point of the war. these loses bodes well for an extended Japanese offensive into mid-late 43.

That's correct and it's most obvious in submarine warfare. I've already trained CV bomber crews to proficient levels of ASW so my CVs have become mobile ASW platforms. On the other hand, almost none of convoys faring from the West Coast to Australia or Hawaii travels with any escorts so are easy pickings for my subs. I think AV is a real prospect in 1.1.1943 looking at our present situation. Mind you, I'm more than 2 months of game time behind with my AAR since we are flipping 2-3 turns a day and time is scarce...

10.1.1942 SHIP GRAVEYARD OF BATAVIA

Post by tomamars »

10.1.1942 SHIP GRAVEYARD OF BATAVIA

Day after our major successes in various battlefields,, our forces are consolidating their gains and preparing for further advances.

HOME ISLANDS

All major ports are mined and covered with ACMs, training groups are re-sized to 27 whenever it’s possible and forts raised to 3 or 4, depending on amount of industry in the city.

CENT.PAC. AREA

Kwajalein is totaly depleted of supply and fuel so a major resupply effort is taken from Truk and HI. This will slow down our naval operations in the area for a bit. Midway is OK for now, base force is being landed in and SNLF is taken away. Forts will be built up first and than port to at least 3...

PI AREA:

Manila industry is in good shape with only 3 points of damage to LI. Air operations against Bataan have commenced with almost daily bombing of airfield. BBs and AKEs have almost reached Batangas from where they will conduct daily bombardment operations. Supply situation is excellent, with over 140.000 supply in Luzon alone. Mopping up of Mindanao is about to take place in few days.

SRA:

Demining of Balikpapan is complete so shipping will be brought in. Air defense was done by Zeros and Oscars from Miri but AF forces and AAA is on the way. Combination of Palembang and Balikpapan means Java will be under constant pressure from air and sea.

MALAYAN THEATER:

Only day after our air force has closed Batavia airfield, it is back again but this time against the port, packed with ships!

CHINA:

Bombing of Loyang is in full swing but other targets are taking their share of bombs as well. Our main strategic objectives in China are as following:

1)Kaifeng - Sian axis
2)Lanchow - Sining - Urumchi
3)Changcha triangle
4)Wengchow - Kweiyang axis

This should push Chinese to tiny area in Central Plains with A LOT of troops to feed and not enough supply to pass around. Once our blitzkrieg passes though Burma, things will look even worse for Chinese war effort...
