Skilled IJN Palyer Sought to Help Ironman for a few turns

Allied vs. IJN AI: August 1942 and Ironman (Andy Mac's Ironman Tier 1 dated 2016-03-05) badly needs help. Currently playing 2-day turns, hard, pdu-on, and +- 60 day variability.

IM starting to waste units in uncoordinated assaults. IM is strong at Aykbar and PM but clueless in China and suicide transports in the Solomon's and suicide ground attacks at Coxs B.

Hoping to have someone help IM get back on track by playing IJN for a few turns, then I could continue as H vs AI. Like a 6 month tune-up for the IJN AI.

ALLIED INTEL: All 6 US CV hardtops available (Less LEX/SARA 4 days from completing refit) and prepping for major assault somewhere in the South Pacific...........

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm curious about how much benefit a few turns intervention for the AI would achieve. In previous games against the AI I have tried to curb some of its more suicidal tendencies by loading up the other side and disbanding undermanned and unescorted amphib TF, trying to redirect CV's to somewhere where the might be more useful (and to make them take on badly needed replenishments) etc. The problem is, once you put the game back in the AI's hands it recreates those some Amphib and Air Combat TF's and gets back to suiciding with gusto...

Are there any long-term changes a player could implement which would actually help the AI put up a stiffer fight? The only one I could think of is manually upgrading ships, which the AI otherwise ignores.

If there is a way to help though I'd gladly take a gander. Though I wouldn't necessarily describe myself as 'skilled' [8D]

You may be right about the futility of re-focusing the AI, but I do recall over the years seeing posts on this forum where some would take the AI's place and help correct some of the problems. How successful those efforts were I cant say, but if you have tried with no success then the same may await me. I guess there just is not an effective way to get the AI to be more adaptable as the strategic and Tactical situation changes. I have not delved in to the scenario editor but may try my own changes....
