While I have only been around for 3 years
(ii) Approximately 2.3 PBEM GC campaigns from Dec 7 41 to ~ Aug 15 1945

(iii) Approximately 27 vs AI GC campaigns from Dec 7 41 to ~ Aug 15 1945

Crikey!!!! I just can't compete with those kind of game turns.[&o][&o][&o] I'm in June '43 in my current AI game and its taken me 2.5 years.

Is that $0.0007612 cents per hour Canadian or US? [:D]

Thanks to everyone involved for the best game on the planet, maybe even the universe. Yes, on a cost-per-hour basis, this is the least expensive game out there.

Cheers,

Well, for me it has been the most expensive game in my collection if I count on a cost-per-hour basis. Yet, somehow, I count it as one of my best investments. [:)]

Salut! It is the only game with three services represented, so the only one that seems to not have taken a lobotomy...

At that amount I will speculate the exchange 1.35 (my side i.e. 1USD=1.35CAD) makes little difference

This great game turned 10 years old over the weekend. What an amazing 10 years it has been, and how remarkable is it that our community is still so active after 10 years!

Cheers to this grand game!

The electronic 0s and 1s which constitute AE do not merit any thanks. It is the team of talented individuals who developed the game who deserve the gratitude of the players.

For those who have forgotten or never knew who those individual were, this thread:

identifies the devs and provides brief biographies.

Happy Birthday to WITP-AE. Personally I never got the game (although really tried) and have finally scratched that itch. That said, I probably got my money's worth in the two attempts to get into it.

But 10 years on and still a very active forum with lots of AAR says something about the game's longevity and replayability that's for sure.

Congratulations on 10 years and still going strong!

The flip side of a ridiculously low cost-per-hour of gaming enjoyment is the opportunity cost of potential consulting hours I lost playing...[:(] On the other hand you can't take it with you. Might as well enjoy life too!

I thought it was the AE team we thanked.
