Or, as they would say in the Southern USA, "Ain't he precious!"

Pfft...leave it to a Yankee to misuse / misappropriate a perfectly good Southern expression fit for such usage. Around these here parts, they'd say, "Well, bless his heart!"

No, it's all good. I ran it through Google Translate and it seems to check out.

Has anyone, anywhere, anytime, disagreed with CB? Such a thing could never, ever happen. [X(]

Indeed. The favoured approach, is to lean over the seated Chickenboy.....

Hey now! Stop it! Stop it right there! Nobody here (maybe excepting Zilch) is interested in what you'd like to do whilest leaning over my seated form. [:-]
Hmm..I could make a really snarky comeback; but then I'd be as bad as some other nameless persons who shall go unmentioned. [X(]

I ain't a Yankee. A Yankee is from New England or is a member of a New York City baseball team. "Ain't he precious" works when someone is patting someone's head . . . [;)]

Well, bless his heart" works when you are gossiping about some guy . . .

BTW, I lived with someone for over 30 years (except for a 4 year stint of seeing the world) who lived in the South - including the deep South. No, I was not married to her either.

No, not really. I wanted this thread specifically and just used the search function and it delivered. It was the first hit.

And no, not so bored. I got multiple MWIF games going on. Besides, not so tough isolation here. Although I am isolating myself more than I am forced to do.

Similar, but different. People who still has job work from home or go to work. Gatherings of more than 50 people are forbidden, and less are discouraged. Pubs, and such, are still open, but there has been talk that authorities will check on them that there is no crowding in them. The only people that are recommended to really self-isolate are the ones who are in any of the risk groups.

At times it bother me that so many ignore the recommendations to not be to close to other people. Especially when that other is me.

The biggest difference I noticed is that it is so quiet. No air traffic, less cars.

Indeed. The smell was nauseating. The darkness was so compact that my lantern was barely enough to see all the horrible critters crawling all over the mouldy floors and walls. One could see monsters lurking just around the corners, retreating when the light reached them. Deeper, and deeper I went. The dungeon turned into a cavern so old that the walls remembered ancient evils being summoned onto the world.

But my cause was just, so no evil could harm me. The quest so important that no horror could turn me back. And suddenly, I was in a room so bright, that no evil dare to enter. An ancient temple dedicated to the Matrix Oracle, the most holy of all Oracles. And it said to me "Go forth into the world, and post in this thread that I give to you, that there is a new Master Poster on the forum, and his name is warspite1.". I was stunned by the force in the Oracles voice, and by the importance of the message, so I lay on to floor close to unconsciousness. For how long I do not know.

So, after I recovered, I summoned my strength and crawled my way back to the surface. Several times I felt my strength disappear and I lay beaten on the floor, but then I renewed my strength because of the importance of my mission. The forum must know, nay, the world must know. This vital information must not be lost to the world. So, finally, I reached back into the sunlight, and I was able to post in this thread again.

And the world will never be the same.

Oh, Ormster. How can it be that, amidst all those trials and tribulations, you mistook the Oracle's words? It wasn't 'poster', but 'bater'. And the other word should have been spelled with a "u" not an "e".

What a terrible experience! It must have addled poor Orm's mind. He really should stop using henbane. https://arstechnica.com/science/2019/09 ... ike-state/

Let's hope the Oracle doesn't summon poor Orm again.
