General layman review with general nonsense

Decisive Campaigns: Ardennes Offensive is the fourth wargame in the Decisive Campaign series. Covering the battles in the Ardennes between December 1944 and January 1945, it brings to life Operational wargaming by lowering the scale to just above tactical level.

General layman review with general nonsense

Post by gap4452 »

Good day to all. Thanks for a great game. First off I just want to say that I had a small issue with a possibly corrupt save file which was solved. The Tech support is great for me....

I am up to (not sure which round) Christmas eve playing "Wacht Am Rheim" and this game is a true winner in my opinion. Great game system and I hope they keep them coming (market garden!). I have 167 points towards a major; however, I feel that the tide is about to turn and I am not sure I will retain those points. I was stopped by those true warriors the 101 airborne at that damn crossroads! Strong formations are appearing south of the bulge. FUEL for Christmas!

For me I think a game like this is a winner if it keeps me engaged and thinking about it in "real life".

I have played all the DC series and this one is my favorite.

The whole game is a masterpiece in my opinion. The cherry on top is the atmosphere. The game has atmosphere and not many games do. Need to get the word out.

Can't wait for more tweaks Vic is going to implement. E.g. the recent recon value for trooptypes is a good start. Already tried them out; giving the armoured cars a reece booster, as well as the Jeep/Kübelwagen. I am hoping for 12 (instead of 8) equipment slots and it will be even more interesting for modders. I am still hoping that some of you are good with graphics editing, because a few more NATO symbols would be needed.
