I am considering my options in trying CM out ... but re: Cold War

I see from screen shot provided on Matrix site that M113 is not showing data as .50 caliber main armament (but rather 7.62 mm) ...

FLUNK ... FAIL

While I am extremely interested in the topic as US Army Veteran of the Cold War era ... US Army Cavalry Scout (who served time on a M113 in 2nd ACR in FRG) ... The fact you can't get armament correct on a M113 from this time period makes me say "PEE YEW ... this must stink."

I will go back to considering CM: Fortress Italy ... as that seems to be the better item of the franchise.

Hmmm, I'm not sure where you got your information but CMCW has both the M113A1/A2 and they're both equipped with Ma Deuce. There are plenty of us cold war vets playing the title who would've called them out on a goof like that, folks on the BFC forum aren't known for hiding their candles under a bushel.

A picture is worth a 1000 words as they say...

BTW, CMFI is a good title as well, very unique in the lineup, well worth it.

I see I was mistaken. You have clarified (and I found my reading of the advertising screen shot was not correct).

If no one had replied to my OP I was going to delete it, but since you have replied to it ... I will leave it up for posterity to show what an idiot I can be :?

I pulled the plunger on CM: Italian Fortress ... but will definitely consider this title in the future (if I get along well with CM: Italy and if this title goes on sale).

Thanks for the clarification.

You're not an idiot for asking a legit question! If the M113 had been lacking the M2 a lot of us would be complaining - cause you can never have enough dakka!

Congrats on CMFI! When you're ready for more, you can find mods, scenarios and campaigns at TheFewGoodmen site. Mods here: CM Mod Warehouse and scenarios here: The Scenario Depot

Have fun!

Gotta say CM:FI is probably one of my favourite titles - variety in units, terrain, short of equipment and makes yoiu really have to think.
