war in the pacific manual

This week I noticed that if I click "manual" on the splash screen for strategic command war in the pacific it doesn't show the manual, but rather a PDF editor. I am wondering if I did something wrong (like messed up the default programs) or if this is just because matrix is transitioning to the release version for this game, which btw I am very excited for. Any info would be appreciated.
