Solomons Campaign: Suppressed Supply in the Russells

Post by mdsmall »

Playing the 1942-43 Solomons Campaign for the first time, I failed to notice that Japanese supply from the airfield and port in the Russell Islands, north-west of Guadalcanal, is suppressed by a Resource script, and both have a value of zero. As a result, the two Japanese aircraft I moved there on the first turn will be marooned for the rest of the campaign....

Yes, it would help to read the Strategy Guide before playing, but not every player does that. Perhaps for the next update to War in the Pacific, a pop-up on the first turn could alert the Japanese player to this feature of the campaign?

Thanks!
