AAR please

Crown of Glory: Europe in the Age of Napoleon, the player controls one of the crowned potentates of Europe in the Napoleonic Era, wielding authority over his nation's military strategy, economic development, diplomatic relations, and social organization. It is a very thorough simulation of the entire Napoleonic Era - spanning from 1799 to 1820, from the dockyards in Lisbon to the frozen wastes of Holy Mother Russia.

AAR please

Post by wodin »

Could someone do a detialed AAR please.

This game is really starting to peek my interest. An AAR would decide it for me.

Also some have mentioned lack of sound. Though this is a minor point it does for me add to the immersion level which I find is paramount in keeping me playing a wargame. SO can the sound be modded?

Hi, I did mention the lack of sounds. For me too, sounds are very important for immersion ... but note that this remark about the lack of sounds is mainly true for the strategical map mode. The detailed combat mode is OK.

I'm sure this will be improved with time (mods?)

Buy this game, it's great ! (and complex)

Ok, here's my mini AAR;

I came
I saw
I conquered

[:D]

Actually, that should be more like.. I came.. I saw.. I got my butt kicked..

Someone's gotta do an AAR soon.. would make interesting reading. The AAR's for WitP were very helpful gameplay wise

I'm putting the first few turns of an AAR up right now. See the AAR section.

Ok, the first four turns of a detailed AAR are up. This is actually a PBEM game in progress, so I'll be posting updates as I go, but they will have to wait until the game has passed the point of the AAR by several turns so as to not give too much away. If there is other information that people would like to see put in the AAR, please let me know.

I don't want the reputation of being a grammer nazi, but I hate not to provide constructive feedback. In this instance, I think the intended word was "pique".
