I remember living right outside Andrews Air Force Base (outside Wash. D.C.) and every year as Armed Forces day approached we would see all kinds of planes flying right over the house at what seemed rooftop level. One of the big noise makers was a F-104. But the one which shook the house more than any other was the F-101 Voodoo (yeah, I'm that old). Don't ever remember any WWII planes but back then I was only interested in the newer stuff.[:D]

All of us Washington players should get together at this airshow and use it as a meet and greet [:)]

I just wish our local B-36 restoration would put the thing in flyable condition.

Beautiful pick F.

brings back fond memories of my being able to crawl around the insides of a B-24 and B-17 last year for the first time. Quite the thrill even if it did cost an arm and a leg.

Some very nice pics of the aircraft of Collings Foundataion can be found here.

But they're copywrited, so I won't repost them. Some really nice pics at that link tho.

I live in Tucson, AZ and about 2 or 3 months ago we had about 10 or 12 Japanese marked aircraft fly over in formation. I was in my car without a camera. Shame. If anyone is from this area maybe they remember or know where they were going. They didn't stop at the AF Base so I'm still clueless as to their destination.

There was an airshow and you could go up in the B29 and a B25 if I remember
correctly at the air national gaurd base I beleive..
I live out by the mountains southwest of Tucson and the heavies were flying in formations right above my house on there tour runs wich was very cool....
I went out and baught a camera just in case they ever come back..
