Not entirely sure what is the use of all these new off-map bases.

Scen 1:

First of all, they don't seem to add anything but supply sink for Allies. Secondly, supply in them (like Panama ports) have been reduced, ridiculously lot as it seems in case of Eastern USA.

Egypt is barely able to sustain itself without building anything, Aden is not able to even do that.

I am starting to think that new map is seriously detrimental to Allied gameplay and just complicates things unnecessarily.

10 for effort...but usefulness...

OK, it seems Eastern USA gets a total of FIVE indp convoys in 1944-1945 that will bring a total of 3,000,000 supplies and 4,500,000 fuel to make up for the shortfall.

Why, we players, have to do this detective work to figure out what has been changed in the patch?

Fat good they do in 1944-45....if you are 1000 per day from 1941-1943...

Let's import from UK (5000 supplies per day). Basically, Lend-Lease in reverse. Albion - arsenal of monarchy!

BTW, Eastern USA also had 40,000 free fuel daily. Now it has 1000 daily. Wonder if the on-map fuel production in CONUSA will be enough to power the USN navy?

Good thing I was able to have second installation with old map, Bellum Pacifica map mod and michaelm75's unofficial 1127 patch without new map.

Now I can continue my game and AAR.

With all these detractions to Allied side, I doubt that playing Allies will be fun on new map. Not even sure if you can actually send supplies and fuel outside CONUS with these changes...

The patch trimmed Eastern USA free supply from 65,000 supplies daily to a MEAGRE 1000 supplies daily (scen001).

Whole Jap officer corps is getting drunk on champagne in Ginza as we speak.

I haven't installed the new patch but reading the comments it sounds like a mess - more issues created than solved. And why did the map need to change so much?

There is also Baton Rouge and New Orleans for supplies.

But there is no rum produced in Jamaica for the Royal Navy's grog!

I have not noticed if there are others like this but the Chinese Rifle Squad upgrading looks to be circular. The second "Chinese Rifle Squad" listing should include a 45 at the end of it.

Brian, is it possible to add bookmarks to the pdf manual? It would make it a lot easier to navigate.

I haven't spent much time on the new version yet but if the changes to Allied fuel and supply are correct, it sounds like an attempt to slow down the Allied juggernaut. The US can't be shipping thousands of tons of war material to its Allies on day 1 that they didn't have. Sounds like the convoys have been added to represent the increase in war production as time goes on. May not be the best way to represent it, but may be the only way due to limitations in the original code.

I am OK with the convoys, but just add some info about GC scenario changes in a scen changelog file or whatever. That I have to play a detective beggars belief.

Also, the Wickes class conversions are now gone. Some of them were converted to APDs including the USS Ward . . .

They are still able to convert, they always had to do the 2/42 upgrade first.

I haven't gone that far yet, I am still trying to destroy the enemy in Luzon.

Against the computer, I wanted to check somethings.

I appears that two bases in China that had listings of 0(0) for resources and light industry had one or the other when it was head to head.

I saw a Mongolian cavalry unit using strategic movement along a grey road. I could not put a similar unit into strategic movement where there was no railroad. I know that Cavalry is fast but this unit didn't even have trucks. Did they feed the horses a lot of beans so they could move faster.
