That is only if the Russian infantry learns how to read maps. The Marines at the front could not. They tried to retreat from an AA unit that was bothering them, and found an SNLF squad which bothered them some more. They went back to the AA unit, which pushed them back to the SNLF. It was a wonderful ping-pong game we played but the marines must not have liked it very much because they went home.
What, me worry?

Ping pong

AH I heard of that game. In Russia we play chess. We have the greatest chess players in the world. The current world champion of course is a Russian ( Alexandre Alekhine ) The World Champion will always be a Russian. I seem to have lost a pawn but in exchange I got a Japanese AFV. The Russian is also World Champion butt kicker in battle. I have sent 3 tanks to deal with the tuna fleet. the cav is 3/4's across the river (some units became confused while crossing and went back to other side-you have to be carefull how far you try to move sometimes since in PBEM battles you can not redo a screwy movement-I had a cav unit 1 hex from bank but clicked on hex at limit of move range and the silly unit went back across river to get on road????)
I have discovered a large amount of Japanese infantry on my left flank.

Ah... You prove something very important... Horse smarter than Russian. :)

Horse knows, he come to us, he die, we put him in pot, have dinner. Russian think he come to us, we die. :D

Horse Meat

Post by mogami »

Supper is on the way, all the cav is across except for the carts which do not seem able to float. I admit that the single most dominant force in this battle so far is your arty. It covers the front very well and still there is enough to hit my rear areas.
It is slowing things down considerably. Another one of those floating tanks sank. Japanese motorcycle troops are crossing the river. My T-34s gave them a warm welcome to the Russian side of the river. It is ok soon both sides will be Russian. Your AFV's have gone into hiding? The only ones I can still see are burning, the wiring in them must be bad to have so many breakdown at once. The jungle heat is hard on them. If you like horse meat just stay where you are, we deliever. Seasoning is the hard part we like to use lots of garlic (you can never use too much garlic on horse meat) but be carefull those american dog food makers (NAPO) don't steal your supper. (I am thinking maybe it is too much for you to chew)

waiting it out

Post by mogami »

Well the old 2nd Bn is waiting behind the front. No reason for them to move into the arty hell falling on 1st Bn. The Cav is across the river and should be with 2nd Bn in a few turns.
The northern sector is a mess I am pulling back any unit that will listen to get out of the arty. Just have to hope the Japs run out of ammo sometime before the battle ends. I don't think he can push me back except for all the routed units (I hope they run far enough back to get out of the rain) As long as his ammo lasts he is pretty safe from me.
