Army Group North.....

Iam curently involved in a game which has me in Kharkov and pushing east. My panzers of Army Group Center are adjacent to Moscow and with air support are assaulting the city. I have deployed numerous infantry divisions to protect the north and south flanks of the Moscow attack. I also have some infantry divisions who are free from flank protection moving up to assist in the attack on Moscow. All this and it is only early in October. My problem is with Amry Group North. It seems that the Soviets have numerous units here and with the terrain Iam having a hard go of it pushing to Leningrad. The Fins are virtually useless! Every time it sems Iam on the verge of a breakthrough in this area the Soviets reform their lines in forested terrain making it very hard to crack these new lines without sustaining heavy losses. ANyone here have any luck in this sector? What stratgies to you use in the area of Amry Group North?

The only advice I have is to push hard for leningrad from the 1st week.
Due to the swamps in the area the defender will gain a bonus- so you have to reach these areas before a good entrechment is reached.

The only other option is reinforce the Korps you have there now and try to encircle any unit you can and remove them from the equation.

Otherwise wait intil 42- then remove the city from the game.

Yeap you have to drive hard and i have tried with forming a third panzerkorps drawn from the reserves. This usually gives you an edge. And when you attack the city you really has to have it sealed off. Dont attack heavilly with the Finns, save them for the blizzards. They truly kick *** then. So i usually dont mix them up with german troops as you do with the other auxillary armies.
