HELP WITH PBEM!

Me and another guy are trying to play PBEM, unsuccsessfully.

After I send the dat and cmt files to him and he sends them back, I get choose his troops ans deploy them as well as my own troops. rest is like an alone hotseat game.

We also tried to play online, but it just said that "The server is not responding" or similiat, can't remember..

any help?

there are 4 files that you need to send him

I thought it was just the .cmt and .dat files?

My email folder has 4 files for each game
try out that PBEM helper program, it does all the zipping and sending for you... its really a great program.

Nope. You need the .AUX and .REC files as well. The .REC file is the video playback file, the .CMT is just the Comment file (all it has is the Save Game slot name), the .DAT file is the basic data file, and the .AUX file holds the PBEM parameters. All 4 are needed for correct PBEM play.

Umm...My PBEM saves go to the normal "save" folder..and only rec dat & cmt show up. we are not using passwords if it matters..

What Save slots are you using? Slots 3-12 are for PBEM games; games saved in these slots will show in the Email folder.
